The animation in Dragon Ball Superhero is fucking stunning and emulates the anime style perfectly, reminiscent of how Into the Spiderverse emulates the comic style. It also makes everything feel considerably more expressive because the creators were easily able to have fabric and hair move in response to actions (eg. Whis’ funky dress sway, Piccolo’s antenna emoting which I will also NEVER get over, Cell Max’s tail swaying) The haters are just salty it’s not the traditional 2D but this movie’s animation slaps and this is coming from someone who’s quite a bit critical about animation.
