Let me share my truth. Seventeen years ago when I got married, I was not thinking about being a father. I am an only child who really enjoyed getting everything I wanted as a kid and as an adult. I fought the idea of being a father largely because I was scared of the responsibility and how my life would no longer be about me lol. I remember after learning we were pregnant I ran to Costco with my dad to buy a 46” plasma TV (the TV cost $1,600 and I knew Dad would insist on buying it for me) fearing if I did not get it know My wife would not “approve” of it later. Long story short was I wrong...about being a father and right about the TV lol. The best thing I have ever done in my life was become a father.
