you’d think by now bc of dmcl that i’d be more likely to muscle memory claude fe16 but no, apparently my muscle memory is still glued to fe4
shoutout to fe4 claude for being one of the only characters i never paired in any of my runs

Well it’s up to you, a ten year old, to pacify the bandits and restore order. By yourself.
Good luck with that

I guess I’m doing an fe4 “wtf pairings” run

You've probably long moved on from your recent non-optimal FE4 run, but if you remember could you rate the kids you got in terms of bad to worst usability?
Ayra’s kids are easily the best (You can’t mess them up) and Taillte’s are the worst. Well, Cairpre is probably the worst unit out of them (yeah I really wanna train up a level one unit to see if his 20 ish percent magic growth will turn out) but Lene is always useful so I call that a wash. Apart from that, I guess I would go Erinys’s kids > Edain’s kids (solely for Lana, tho) > Brigid’s kids = Lachesis’s kids. Roughly

I knew this was the consequence of my actions, yet I... I wasn’t ready

My thoughts on my wtf pairings so far is that most of the kids have been pretty useable. By and large most of the daughters are harder to fuck up because of how growths are calculated for them, and that they can almost always inherit stuff from their mom. The exception of course is Patty, but she’s hard to train anyway. Still, the only characters I’d say that got truly screwed was Holyn fathered Lester (although the Brave Bow is helping a BIT, but yeah he’s white hot garbage) and Naoise fathered Arthur (and hopefully promotion will fix that.)

Your WTF pairings resulted in very balanced units TBH. I think some of them were RNG bless, since the stats they needed was decent enough.
Pretty much, yeah, they were largely just decent enough. Honestly though, I find balance doesn’t really count for very much in my opinion. Having equally good magic and strength doesn’t help if they’re both kinda crap.
But on the other hand, the only characters I think that got really screwed were Arthur (a good, but pursuit-less, skillset doesn’t really help his pretty meh stats) and Cairpre (I’m not training a healer up from level one that has a 20% magic growth.) Lester was pretty bad until he got a Brave Bow. He’s wasn’t good afterward, but he was usable.

I guess you can say totally Unoptimal Pairing?
Sadly, there are SOME upsides to these pairings. Lachesis’s kids will bulky as hell, and Vantage is nice. Also, the murdertwins can use magic swords pretty well, even though their strength is shot. Ultimately it was a choice between Azel and Alec, and Alec doesn’t really tank their strength THAT bad, so I figured that magic swords are kind of a crap trade off.
