So, I figured I owe y’all an explanation as to why I had been gone for so long, and I’m sorry, and I understand that some are losing their patience with me.

First, I’m sorry I had been gone without so much as a word, even though I had been lurking and talking to a couple of you peeps behind the scenes.

Second, I’ll start off with a small fact that sort of explains somethings. I live in Maryland, and the area I’m in is KNOWN for its heroin and recent string of heroin and fetanol related deaths.

And well, like the young adult my brother is when he was going through a rough patch, he turned to heroin.

The first time he overdosed, it was when I had just gotten home from classes for the day that he did it. I thought he was puking from being hungover. Turns out, he died and his buddy gave him a shot of Narcan and brought him back. I didn’t know until two days after.

The second and final time that I know of, he almost passed out (and probably would have died too) when the both of us got home from work. We carpool, beings as we both still live at home. So I WATCH him as we (I think) give him Narcan and stay up all night to make sure he’s okay, beings as my dad needed to get to work in the morning and he was on a 12 day stretch.

So, it’s been around five days now, and I’m still pretty traumatized, and have decided to stay off for a little while to make sure he’s okay. I’ll get back to the threads as soon as possible, and again, I would like to apologize for being away.
