my fc: i think i'll be done with ffxiv come 7.0
my fc: yeah it's no fun without a friend group
me: gah!
#ffxiv#ooc#they weren't kidding that mmo's have really changed in 15 years#the game itself gets better and resembles a mmo less#but at the same time no longer relies so much on socializing that it's not a priority#but given the way it's built it removes about 40% enjoyability if you don't find friends#however. it's much harder nowadays imo to build a solid group#since you can be a stranger and stay a stranger#and ffxiv is easily done solo#it's a double edged sword. so groups are flimsy#this fc was honestly really nice but everyone was so shy/up in their own schedule#and a lot of fcs just. don't do much and let it peter out#ffxiv doesn't have a lot of survivability once you finish the patch
