PROFILE.

The altruistic and convivial, [𝑀𝑋. 𝐶𝑂𝑁𝐺𝐸𝑁𝐼𝐴𝐿𝐼𝑇𝑌] has a connection with the minds of humans — and non-humans — that is found once in a few lifetimes. We discovered their talent when several humanoid SCPs in surveillance came in contact with her and lost their anomalous nature. The Foundation would suffer a loss to let this unique ability go. 𝐶𝑂𝑁𝐺𝐸𝑁𝐼𝐴𝐿𝐼𝑇𝑌]'s research partner, Dr. P. ████, which had been overturned at the last second. The reasonings for that are, at this point in time, undetermined and unclear. Therefore, the Committee believes [𝑀𝑋. 𝐶𝑂𝑁𝐺𝐸𝑁𝐼𝐴𝐿𝐼𝑇𝑌] would benefit from a new workplace environment, far from the dramatic exploits of the SCP-███ experiments. 𝐷𝑌𝐼𝑁𝐺 𝐵𝑅𝐸𝐸𝐷. You can just tell this one’s going to be a headache and a half. They don’t seem to be too interested in being anyone’s friend, never mind yours. You usually prefer to take a slow and subtle approach in these sorts of cases, but given the especially sensitive nature of this new assignment, leaving a wildcard like them unchecked for too long seems bound to create problems.

𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐹𝐸𝐶𝑇 𝑆𝑇𝑅𝐴𝑁𝐺𝐸𝑅. It’s obvious that they’re in way over their head, so what else where you supposed to do other than throw them a life preserver? You’ve never been the type to stand by as someone else struggles and they’ll definitely need all the help they can get settling in and navigating the team’s… pricklier personalities.

Originally scouted by Ex-Head of Containment at Site-120, Dr. Adam Barclay, from the population of Nx-33, “Inverness-shire,” Scotland, [𝐺𝐴𝑅𝐷𝐸𝑁 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐼𝐸𝑇𝑌] showed potential that was hard to dismiss. In the years after their recruitment, [𝐺𝐴𝑅𝐷𝐸𝑁 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐼𝐸𝑇𝑌] quickly impressed senior staff members at Site-120 with their innovative containment procedures and patents. Although their research was unorthodox, these groundbreaking experiments reached them the position of a Lead Researcher at Site-120 — a standing significantly higher than their former mentor, Dr. Barclay. Perhaps this led Barclay into the arms of the Group of Interest known as The Hive. The exact series of events that lead to Barclay’s betrayal seven years ago are still unclear, as are his present whereabouts and intentions. While investigating the scandal, the Foundation demoted [𝐺𝐴𝑅𝐷𝐸𝑁 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐼𝐸𝑇𝑌] to Assistant Researcher, but outside of that mentorship, the internal investigation did not uncover any direct link between [𝐺𝐴𝑅𝐷𝐸𝑁 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐼𝐸𝑇𝑌] and the Hive. Since seven years ago, they have remained Assistant Researcher, the ties to Barclay's expulsion a lingering presence in their Foundation career. You're afraid to ask, but will he reach a breaking point like you did?

𝑉𝐸𝐿𝑉𝐸𝑇 𝐺𝐿𝑂𝑉𝐸. You'd like to think of yourself as a friendly person but this teammate drives you up the wall, and maybe the ceiling? Though they've saved your behind when you've been stuck in an unwanted social situation, their finesse and mannerisms come off practiced to you. It'd be nice to know if they were actually interested in your research or if they're letting you talk on for other reasons...

𝑄𝑈𝑂𝑇𝐸 𝑈𝑁𝑄𝑈𝑂𝑇𝐸. This new teammate stands just to the left of their words, in the same way an anomaly is just off from reality. They clearly know more than they say, and the puzzle is figuring out what they want and what they’ll do to get it. Without giving away too much information yourself, of course. The fact that there's a history of inconveniencing the Foundation is the cherry on top.

PROFILE.

The prudent and perceptive [𝐴𝑈 𝐹𝐴𝐼𝑇] understands better than anyone that there is no secret that should be shielded from the Committee’s watchful eyes. They proved their commitment to maintaining the integrity of the Foundation when they cut ties with their very own father, a Foundation Administrator at the Decommissioning Department, by blowing the whistle on an underhanded deal he had with Andersen Robotics and Prometheus Labs for the sale of anomalous objects slated for decommissioning. Their part in that bombshell exposé earned them the credibility they needed to shed the accusations that their advancement through the ranks was due to the efforts of family and friends in high places. It certainly was enough for the Foundation to heed their call to preemptively apprehend [𝐾𝐼𝑁𝐺'𝑆 𝐺𝐴𝑀𝐵𝐼𝑇], a prior mentor, on charges of [REDACTED]. If it were anyone other than [𝐴𝑈 𝐹𝐴𝐼𝑇], many would have suspected personal resentments were behind their damning report. Any tips and tricks they’d be willing to give a junior member of Chi-00 are bound to come in handy for your future career at the Foundation. Unless, of course, the good 𝑂𝐿𝐷 𝑆𝑃𝑂𝑅𝑇 turns out to be less than the absolute paragon of protocol they make themselves out to be. In which case, your sense of justice always comes first.

𝐹𝐿𝐼𝑀𝐹𝐿𝐴𝑀. You observed this star’s meteoric rise, and while some questioned their success story you could not disagree more. How could anyone doubt them when they come from such a brilliant legacy, and were mentored by the esteemed 𝑅𝐸𝑉𝐸𝑅𝑆𝐸 𝐸𝑁𝐺𝐼𝑁𝐸𝐸𝑅? Yes, their ostentatious self-obsession grates a little, but you just know in your heart the two of you are birds of a feather. This certainly isn’t motivated by anything so humiliating as projection, but maybe they just need a little help to outgrow their inheritance — like you did.

𝑄𝑈𝑂𝑇𝐸 𝑈𝑁𝑄𝑈𝑂𝑇𝐸. You were the first human to notice this hacker within the Foundation’s cyberspace so the fact that you are on a team with them is… intriguing, to say the least. After the special briefing you received regarding this new acquisition, you’ve found yourself in the position of their private warden, not that the newly minted “𝑄𝑈𝑂𝑇𝐸 𝑈𝑁𝑄𝑈𝑂𝑇𝐸” is aware of this fact. In any case, you’ll take on this secret assignment with the same dedication you put into all your work — because while it was never said outright, you’re well aware that the consequences of a poor peer review will be… final.

However, the origins of this operative’s connection to the Foundation are strikingly non-standard. As a child they survived not only direct exposure to an apocalyptic Apollyon-Class SCP that manifested at their hometown [DATA EXPUNGED], but also the contingency plan enacted to avoid a K-Class Scenario. Or are they merely just watching?

𝑇𝑅𝐸𝐸 𝐻𝑈𝐺𝐺𝐸𝑅. You’d follow them to hell and back, but… you’re starting to think this latest venture might have been a mistake — for both of you. You’re hoping you’re wrong and it’s just stress over the new position. Plus, you can tell how excited 𝑇𝑅𝐸𝐸 𝐻𝑈𝐺𝐺𝐸𝑅 is by all this. But like with everything else, doubts have started to creep in and you’ve have always wondered if they really understand what the purpose of the Foundation is. PROFILE.

The industrious and optimistic [𝑈𝑅𝐵𝐴𝑁 𝑀𝑌𝑇𝐻] is a junior by position and experience, but they are a prospect the Foundation is anxious to cultivate and grow. From a town smaller than their dreams, the operative's background with a Masters in Parapsychology and deep interest in the unknown made her a fine candidate for recruitment into MTF Gamma-6, "Deep Feeders," first in a supportive role and then as a junior member within the task force. With their fellow MTF teammates, [𝑈𝑅𝐵𝐴𝑁 𝑀𝑌𝑇𝐻] was tasked with locating and containing instances of SCP-2120 in the field, though their eagerness of studying said SCPs show an inclination toward pursuing further research. It is a stroke of luck that an unnamed peer within Gamma-6 recommended [𝑈𝑅𝐵𝐴𝑁 𝑀𝑌𝑇𝐻] to the Ethics Committee, and we cannot thank them enough for headhunting this talent. MTF  GAMMA-6;  tracked  SCP-2120's  appearances  in  the  Bermuda  Triangle  for  about  three  years  without  incident,  until  a  directive  from  higher  ups  requested  the  towing  of  the  instances  to  a  different  Site  facility.  Securing  of  SCP  reported  mission  success,  however  there  were  temperamental  circumstances.  Following  the  mission,  three  juniors  requested  transfer,  two  were  reassigned,  and  one  was  [REDACTED].  Operative  one  of  the  few  left  of  the  original  team  still  on  assignment.

Dependable and unwavering, [𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅]’s recruitment to the Foundation could be considered a “happy accident.” Originally rescued from anomalous location [DATA EXPUNGED] during the initial exploration into SCP-████’s domain, he was initially stated to be terminated at the end of the mission — however, [𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅] proved vital in containing the entity responsible for the phenomenon. In order to avoid potentially losing a valuable asset to the Foundation, the Ethics Committee decreed that he would be spared.
