i'm still mad peasley only ever got an appearance in one game in the franchise. he's definitely my favourite character so far in the mario & luigi series, and in the short time he and luigi spent together i think they really blossomed something special. like, the very first time they meet peasley gives luigi a white rose saying it compliments his green quite well (white roses apparently symbolise love, affection and loyalty according to the first result i got when i googled their symbolism so i have a reliable source y'see). there's also a scene where luigi's parachuting through the sky and peasley flies on his steed to receive something from him, but when luigi gives it to him a bird comes by and pecks his parachute loose and he starts free-falling and peasley's reaction is to immediately fly under him in an attempt to catch him despite being on a very unsteady steed. when luigi finds out peasley's going on a dangerous mission which could bring harm to him, he starts crying. then right at the end of the game as mario, luigi and peach are preparing to fly home and peasley comes to see them off, luigi runs to hug him. peasley -- whether unintentionally or teasingly -- flies up out of the way and luigi starts fuckin crying again. like they cared so much about each other and had each other's backs and i am still stomping my feet about the fact that they didn't have a goodbye hug it sucked!!!!!! why would the game not give them a goodbye hug then just never give peasley another game appearance???? >:(((

i really like them they had a really good dynamic that's been expanded on in marvellous fan works such as tangled thicket, a marvellous fanfic in progress by snugglyrabbits on ao3 like they are so fucjing cute in that wjdjgjgk but god does the author also know how to wrench your beating heart out of your chest and smash it against a wall repeatedly

(also the edited "i ship them i want to put them in a jar and study them" is cause there was a scene where peasley was prodding luigi's ass with his sword and luigi started blushing they're so fucking weird they mean so much to me)
