the second they lock eyes, ben feels it. the familiar chill across his skin, the sense that something is amiss. he prepares himself for the wave of dread, that feeling of spectral walls closing in... but it doesn't come. this girl is a vampire, he's certain of it. but there's something else–– something different.

she'd said something about telling his future. the boardwalk is thronged with people; just a few victims could proliferate into hundreds. "how much?"
