Finarfin appreciation ~

A sketchy doodle of Finarfin in summer evening wear. Didn't use my usual inked-line art, so this was an experiment. 🙃

Back again with the less strand-sy hair...(tell me whatcha think!)

Also learning to design more clothing styles! I enjoy using new colors and shapes so the next works will likely have a combo of those.

I really haven't given this poor man much thought before .... Perhaps that'll change now u.u

I feel like I'd be besties with all 3 of the eldest children. Because eldest & only child have the same ✨ saucy traumas ✨

I messed up my Nauglamir design a little but I actually kinda like it this way?? I dressed Finrod in a different style of clothes compared to Fingon and Maedhros because Finrod has some telerin blood and I like to imagine them with very drape-y and flowy clothes.

Fingon and Maedhros have classic Noldor outfits.

I really like the HC that Fingon and the line of Nolofinwë in general have a darker complexion. (Despite some mention somewhere of Aredhel being fair of face(?) I like it this way too tho.)

And of course Maedhros ♡

My HC is that the majority of the Finwëans have some form of curly/wavy hair. Also considering red hair was very rare in Arda, I wanted to make it curly too.

Am i the only one who never knows what to dress Maedhros in? 🫠

Do you guys like these types of sketchbook posts/OC inserts etc? I've got a lot of stuff that I could post tbh.
