Do you walk all three dogs at the same time or do you divide them up? I’d like to own two high energy dogs one day, and at least when ones a puppy I’m not sure if I should walk them separately or not, but at the same time idk how change in routine will affect them being that they would be high energy. Sorry if this doesn’t make sense, idk how to articulate the question in an understandable way 😅
i usually divide them up unless im going to like, the beach, which is an hour away and i am making a little doggy day trip out of it. for the most part, i take pando first & train him because he has a lot of stuff to work on out and about. then i take finch and nettle together. sometimes i will take nettle & pando together. never finch & pando though because finch is reactive and pando is already nervous and i am trying Very Hard to not have two reactive dogs. if i have time/daylight i try and do 1v1 walks with finch and nettle but most times i am getting home at like, 5:30 which does not leave a whole lot of daylight left :/ so usually i will take them out separately on the weekends.
plus, finch by himself is already a Lot of dog to walk. he has major overarousal issues and cannot contain himself which has been a struggle since he was a little baby.
but i just started walking my dogs very recently! i did not walk them at all before i moved. the vast majority of our time was spent at parks off-leash training/playing around or hiking. so it always depends on how u want to manage their energy because walks are not the only way to tire out high energy dogs.
