Bandit Run 2017 Wrap-up | Dave Hall And Car Profile

Well, Bandit Run 2017 is in the books and just as the Smokey and the Bandit movie depicted 40 years ago, Dave Hall and the Runners travelled from Texarkana, TX to Atlanta, GA. Unlike the Bandit, who did it mostly for the money, these folks did it for a little glory, for the fun, but mostly the good ‘ole American Life. And there’s a lot to be said for that and for Dave Hall, who is keeping this part of our Automotive and Pop Cultural heritage alive and speeding.

Dave Hall, Gene Kennedy and their teams have also done a lot for the Bandit himself, Burt Reynolds. While some entertainers receive praise for their accomplishments after they’re gone, Mr Reynolds has been thanked and celebrated many times over for inspiring a generation of car lovers and fans of his many films including Smokey and the Bandit and The Cannonball Run.

DAVE HALL

Dave Hall comes from an automotive family and he would always tinker with cars at his Dad’s used car dealership as a kid.  Although he did a restoration in college, he went into the software industry after he obtained his degree in Computer Science. While that industry treated him well, 1960-1970’s muscle cars were always his passion and he left that all behind to grow his current business, Restore A Muscle Car LLC.

THE CAR
