#flowerstar's era
I also might make a Clangen for cats following Rainstar's Burden, at least the ones who haven't already had kits to give me some ideas.
Tumblr media
There's more in the Clan like older characters, but these are the ones I could fit and want to explore.
--
Flowerstar is the kit of Elderchirp and Birdsun, therefore a Cedarsky+Mossflake descendant
Rosemouse is Snowstar (the previous leader and leader after Rainstar)'s brother and brother to Tanglebounce and Shiningmoth who is unseen. He is a kit of Silverwhisker and Runningcloud and therefore a descendant of Rainstar.
Bluefoot is the son of Tanglebounce and is Rosemouse's nephew. He has the same ancestors.
He is the deputy, an interesting choice considering Flowerstar killed Snowstar--it was established she felt guilt, and probably chose him because of that.
Olivetree and Mara are both former kittypets while Gladebush was a loner. They were offered a home in the Clan to 1) make up for the murders as much as they could and 2) increase the numbers that had decreased so much (and to avoid inbreeding).
Olivetree refused due to Myrtle and Alder having killed her brother, but then her Twolegs took away her kits. She decided to join the Clan when she had just one left so that she could raise them. That kit is Parsleykit.
Hollyclaw had a son in canon Jumpfoot, but by this point he's dead. While he was alive and an adult, she had more kits with a donor and her mate. Her kits are Fennelpaw and Riftkit.

For everyone hearing about StormClan and doesn't mind Ivypool's Heart spoilers, here's the details I've heard so far;
(Remember to take this with a grain of salt, as always, because this is third hand information I've collected from various spoiler threads)
This is not a major plot thread in Ivypool's Heart. It's actually quite secondary.
StormClan was created at some point after DOTC, when Galestar of WindClan and Stripestar of ThunderClan fell in love.
They combined their Clans into one and left the territory.
At some point, Galestar, Whitebreeze, Rosebush (or Shadebush) and some other guy betrayed Stripestar.
Some cats came back to reform ThunderClan and WindClan.
But not all of them came back; these remnants stayed as StormClan.
Ngl StormClan's traditions are UNIRONICALLY very cool. Instead of contacting a centric StarClan, each one has a "Spirit Guide" (a lot like my Patrons and Demons, but more personal!)
Spirit Guides give their chosen disciple a full name, and can be channeled directly when needed. VERY cool.
Sisters are a breakaway group from StormClan. Less cool, imo, I wanted them to be closer to the Tribe.
StormClan cats also tend to be aggressive, and have actually been several of the unnamed rogues across the series.
Ivypool is going to have several flashes to the StormClan founding drama, or spiritual visions, or something. Basically she's going to give us a window into the history of StormClan.
We get confirmation that fading is connected to forgetting, BUT a faded spirit can be brought back if they're remembered.
There's a big soul river thing that connects all the afterlives.
So, overall, imo this seems fun. I'm actually glad that the Erins are being a bit more creative with the afterlife systems, and this is a nice way to riff on the structure of Clans. While I am still (rightly, imo) wary of the team's ability to juggle all of these new groups, I think StormClan is an interesting addition to canon.

Sending an ask because this is gonna be entirely too long for yet another reply on the ask.
So, if the goal here's to get Star Flower onto leadership so she can start the -star suffix tradition, why not play up her backstabbing tendencies and have her pull a coup on the canon second deputy of SkyClan, Sparrow Fur, just as the transition of power happens? It always did strike me as odd that this particular bad decision didn't come back to bite Clear Sky in the ass. (Unless it does in Shadowstar's Life? IDK, that one's on the "I'll read eventually" list.)
Plus, it gives me an excuse to rope in Turtle Tail's kits, they always seemed to me as character particularly ripe for a follow up in this era of canon with two ending up as deputies and the remainder as medicine cat. A ThunderClan-ShadowClan alliance ganging up on SkyClan and Star Flower trying to portray herself as the victim in a bid to gain support would be an interesting idea.
We could even call the alliance LeopardClan if that'd satisfy your desire to have them be at least mentioned.
:3
yesss star flower my girl boss beloved <3
i haven't read any extraneous dotc content, so no comment. i think star flower should in fact do that yes that would be good. that is very good.
star flower my beloved <3
(even if we put aside the suffix issues, she is the only cat who gets a "no logically naming you flowerstar makes sense" so she has that going for her too. i'm still pissed about skystar and shadowstar. i will never get over them i don't think. and why does thunder only have one word? what's up w/ slate? all other cats have two word names but not them? why the hell is that?
sorry dotc names piss me off if i think about them too long)
and yes that would absolutely satisfy my desire i just want people to remember leopardclan exists like leopard- my beloved. we've had two tigers and three lions too can we get another leopard-? (yes ik there's leopardfoot but she's not in the main series books so she doesn't count for these purposes. i want a lil shadowclan cat named leopardkit. why shadowclan? i dunno. it just seems fitting.)

Is Nightstar in TPB getting renamed now that Night is a canon confirmed leader? Or since he doesn't actually get his nine lives does he just keep Nightstar and hope no one notices. If he does change his name, I think Twilightstar would be cool, he's the end of the night before a new dawn (or at least that's what he hoped to be).
Nightstar TPB is the better known one, Nightstar DOTC will get the conflict rename. IF she even stays leader.
Ngl, I do not respect this name. Erins should stop fucking doing this. Having two Tigerstars was bad enough. They had a perfect chance to change DOTC Night's name in preparation and didn't and I will not hide how frustrated I am with this.
Stop having repeat names for your most popular and discussed characters, Erins. It's not cute It's annoying.
In BB, the Dawn Era ends in a huge succession crisis as Riverstar dies with a bunch of heirs. His chosen one, an adopted child, gets buried in a rush of bio-heirs in other Clans trying to absorb the River Kingdom.
So Night coming out on top of this is extremely unlikely. Riverstar was ancient when he died, outliving all the cats of his era.
I absolutely want Night to remain as his best friend, so it's probably going to work out that she's been dead for many years by the time of Riverstar's Heir!
Since Riverstar's Heir is going to bridge the gap between DOTC and COTC, Redscar's Sign is present here. Flowerstar will probably follow, unless the story reveals someone different and more interesting as I write specifics!

Will you be keeping what Su Susann said about Maggottail? I really enjoy how Dashpaw was proud for surviving a fox bite, and I feel like that'd work perfectly with how Clan culture sees scars in the rewrite!
Yes, but I'm not sure where to put him. He's not on the tree for now-- he might be from as far back as the Code Era or Ripplestar's Rot. I'm also not sure yet of what his crime was.
There's a few cats who have "bonus info" that won't be on the tree because they're too far back. I'm nearly done so I'll share it here;
Hollowbelly Was the apprentice of Molepelt during Larkstripe's Strike. He was a really sweet dude, very nurturing, who felt like he needed to take a stand. When Dalestar broke the strike by codifying the Cleric's Vow, he backed away from the Cleric position because he had always wanted to have his own kits. It was a dealbreaker for him.
Sloethorn The Cleric before Redthistle. Is probably related to either Hollowbelly or Molepelt in some way.
Snakethroat One of Dawnstar's deputies, probably her second, who eventually was replaced by Ripplemoon. He was handsome and confident, but retired because he decided he didn't want the stress of being a leader.
Redscar, Jumpfoot, Mossfire, Brightwhisker, Flowerstar Holding onto them for the Law of the Deputy, which was coined in the Code Era after the death of the final founder, Riverstar, plunged the Clans into chaos. Their names might have been ancient-esque, but are remembered as the modern forms.
Marshstar, Ripplestar, Spottedpelt May or may not have descendants of their own, I'm unsure, but Marsh and Ripple were mates. Marsh never took another after the death of his husband, and had a very listless, forlorn rule after losing him. Spottedpelt was one of Ripplestar's best 'generals,' and lead many battle patrols into the other Clan territories.

I should make a masterpost of the allegiances pre-Gorsedaisy's Nightmare (Wooden Teeth), Gorsedaisy's Nightmare, Sprouting Thorns, and Rainstar's Burden
(and maybe one for Snowstar/Flowerstar's era)
I did make one before with Storm and Alder's eras, but more characters have been added and will continue to be added so that roughly everyone has at least one parent throughout the generations.
I'll also include relations.
@ambitiousauthor anyone you think I should add/has family you're sure about?
I think Darktail would be a good father or grandfather for Hickory
