Good evening. It seems very unlikely but Freddie and I were very good friends, and many an evening I'd go up there and he'd be practicing his fluent Gaeilge on me and as the evening wore on we'd start talking about indigenous music and things, and eventually we got to writing some songs.
I want to do this afternoon a song that we wrote together, and it's particularly apt for this occasion. It's called ‘Too Late God’.

I played with Bob Geldof at the Freddie Mercury Tribute, at Wembley Stadium. And that was pretty cool.
[Interviewer: What did you play, do you remember?]
Oh! Uh, a song called 'Too Late God'. Which you wouldn't know, and I can't even remember how it goes now myself…

IMAGES: USAF reveals special painting for the F-16 "MiG Killer"
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 07/04/2022 - 11:00 am in Military
The 56th U.S. Air Force (USAF) Equipment Maintenance Squadron unveiled an F-16D Fighting Falcon painted in a special color scheme. This particular jet was the first American F-16 to score an aerial slaughter.
"The aircraft earned the nickname 'MiG Killer' as a result of the events that occurred on December 27, 1992," said 1st Lieutenant James Mobbley, flight maintenance officer responsible for the 56th EMS, at the inauguration ceremony in the hangar of the 310th Air Maintenance Unit at Luke Air Base, Arizona, on June 17, 2022. “In 1992, Lieutenant Colonel Gary “North” North, who was flying on this F-16D, tail number 0778, led a flight of four F-16s on a routine Operation Southern Watch mission in Iraq.”
During this mission, an armed MiG-25 Foxbat entered the no-fly zone. Realizing that he and his wings were in danger, North asked for permission to shoot.
"He finally heard 'thug-thug-thug, released to kill' on his headset," Mobbley said. “North caught the target with an AIM-120 AMRAAM (Advanced Medium Range Air-Air Missile), fired his missile and eliminated the MiG.”
The painting scheme for this jet was carried out by 12 flight maintenance aviators assigned to corrosion control at Luke Air Base, as a way to honor North's actions and the heritage of the U.S. Air Force. The painting work required 1,500 man-hours and more than 13 gallons of paint.
"This 'What if' design is inspired by the desert camouflage uniform worn during the first Gulf War and a similar experimental camouflage painting that was tested at the time," said the sergeant. Michael Cichonsky, structural maintainer of F-35 stealth aircraft in the 56th Equipment Maintenance Squadron. "There are very few photos of the test scheme, as it was hand painted with latex paint and lasted only a week before being removed. With this design, we not only pay tribute to the history of General North and 0778, but also allows us to reimagine whether this painting scheme was selected for use during Operation Southern Watch."

“Changed but not updated”说明已跟踪文件的内容发生了变化,但还没有放到暂存区。
如果只是简单地从工作目录中手工删除文件,运行 git status 时就会在 “Changed but not updated” 部分(也就是_未暂存_清单). for example:
$ rm grit.gemspec $ git status On branch master Changed but not updated: (use "git add/rm ..." to update what will be committed) deleted: grit.gemspec
然后再运行 git rm 记录此次移除文件的操作:
$ git rm grit.gemspec $ git rm grit.gemspec rm 'grit.gemspec' $ git status On branch master Changes to be committed: (use "git reset HEAD ..." to unstage) deleted: grit.gemspec
最后提交的时候,该文件就不再纳入版本管理了。如果删除之前修改过并且已经放到暂存区域的话,则必须要用强制删除选项 -f(译注:即 force 的首字母),以防误删除文件后丢失修改的内容。

France, Germany and Sweden launch FMTC program for new state-of-the-art medium air transport aircraft
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 07/04/2022 - 11:01 PM in Military
The governments of France, Germany and Sweden have signed an agreement to launch the Future Mid-Size Tactical Cargo (FMTC) program that is ready to deliver a new next-generation air transport aircraft.
Signed on June 23 and announced on June 30, the program will oversee the development of a new platform that will replace the C-130 Hercules and Casa CN-235 fuselages, or the newly retired Transall C-160, in the fleets of the three countries by 2040.
Supported by the European Defence Agency under the Permanent Structured Cooperation Framework (PESCO), this agreement will make it possible to define the aircraft that intends to operate in addition to the A400M fleet from 2040.
PESCO describes the FMTC as a project aimed at increasing the air mobility capabilities of the armed forces of the member states of the European Union. The project seeks to complement the A400M missions, including on narrow and short unprepared runways, "to collectively and efficiently face the next transport challenges in military operations or crisis response situations".

European transport aircraft have recently been involved in several critical operations. These included the COVID-19 relief effort and the evacuation from Afghanistan. "In addition to their purely military role, tactical transport aircraft are also essential assets for better civil defense/protection and internal needs of the EU, with a critical contribution to disaster relief, search and rescue and response to health crises," explains the European Defense Fund document.
France is acting as coordinator of the project.
According to the French Air and Space Force, which hosted the European Wings event during which the FMTC agreement was signed, other countries will soon be able to join it.
The air force also said that the signing at the end of June marked a first major step for the FMTC project to converge to more precise common specifications. The bidding will end on November 24, 2022.
Subsequent industrial feasibility studies may lead to the launch of the development of this new aircraft around 2026 or 2027.
