upon first listen i am yay TTPD and nay the anthology.
#i am so sorry i do not think we needed 30 songs#like the size of taylor's re-release albums with from the vault tracks make sense because it's nostalgia it's harkening back to when those#songs were made. it's delayed super deluxe album.#and then folklore and evermore are sisters but were released separately.#imo the anthology simply isn't as good as TTPD and both albums have misses. i think it just could've been paired down to like. 20 songs.#mira muses

It feels like she was trying to replicate the lyrical intricacy of folklore and evermore by using metaphors and fancy words in a similar vein, but it just kind of... fell flat.
Many songs feel clunky and like she wants to use "bad words" to sound edgy but failing

Looks like TTPDs total length will be an hour five minutes (8 seconds) on the non-deluxe tracklist, which is interestingly long, especially with four more songs we don't have track lengths for yet.

i am SO defensive of the non-deluxe versions of the albums, like ending with "hoax" or "mastermind" or "evermore" because i think those albums deserve to stand as their own perfect beautiful works of art, EXCEPT for 1989 because that album is 16 songs long and ends with "new romantics"
#m.txt#like i understand 'clean' as an ending point#but i had the deluxe cd#and unlike earlier cds (like red) the deluxe versions were on the same disc so they naturally played next#but 1989 came out before i had streaming or anything#so i was listening to the disc. whereas folklore evermore and midnights are all very firmly streaming era#so even though i have the deluxe discs it matters less#taylor swift
