"Shocking," Katherine said flatly. "Well, if you have any better ideas, I’m all ears."
She was well aware that a lack of trust towards was her was pretty near universal. And, in fact, it was fairly mutual. She did trust Stefan, more or less… as much as she trusted anyone. Caroline, however, wasn’t exactly her first choice. That said, of everyone besides Stefan, she was the most likely to be able to be convinced.
Caroline rolled her eyes, which were full of annoyance and indignation. “Of course, I have a better idea.”
"If we want to rescue this innocent girl from this coven of rogue vampires, we need more backup."

“Is knocking no longer a thing that people do?”
Rebekah huffed in annoyance and retreated back to her vanity. She didn’t bother to cover herself up, content to do her makeup in nothing but a diamond necklace. This was her room after all, clothing optional.

"Katherine.” Caroline muttered sourly, as she saw the brunette vampire who so looked like Elena. The difference was, Caroline trusted Elena, thought her to be her best friend. Katherine could not ever be trusted.
"—-I’m not going to trust you on this crazy plan of yours."

fought-for-everything
She hadn't given it a second thought, deciding to give
up her own freedom in exchange for her father's. Upon
discovering the utter mess that Mikael had gotten
himself into, it had seemed like the only logical way
forward. Of course, she hadn't shared this information
with her father, nor had she mentioned it to anyone else
in the family. They would try to stop her, she was sure.
Say that there was another way, that giving up her freedom
in exchange for Mikael's was out of the question. To them,
perhaps.
Rebekah had told him time and time again not to
get himself mixed up with her gang. Leave them
be, she had begged him on more than one occasion.
Live and let live. Mikael had been adamant, though.
He didn't want those people in his town. He wanted
their land, he wanted to take over whatever operation
it was that they had been running (Rebekah, unsurprisingly,
was not privy to that information), and, most of all, he
wanted them gone. Mikael's foolproof(!) plan had, as she
had predicted, backfired. She had two choices: let her
father take the fall, and wait for him to end up lying on
the floor of some filthy bathroom stall, bullet through his
skull, or she could barter herself for his freedom, and hope
that she see fit to spare her life and put her to good use,
rather than to kill her for Mikael's crimes.
That was how she found herself stood outside of
the clubhouse -- their known congregation establishment --,
teeth grit and expression set. Determined though she was,
her palms were sweating and her heart was in her mouth;
lives were at stake here, after all. She took a moment to
compose herself before knocking once, twice, three times.

"So you decided it’s better not to factor me in at all?" Katherine snapped. "Look, I don’t know what I did to piss you off, if Damon’s told you some nonsense or something, but whatever it is, get over it!"
"Look, it wasn't meant to make you angry," Ric said, running his fingers through his hair and wishing he had been with the far less volatile doppelganger instead of Katherine. "I know you don't like not being involved in schemes, but it was necessary this time." He looked her over slowly. "Sorry about the uh..." he gestured vaguely to her neck where he had bitten her, "but they had to believe I was really, you know, going for the kill or whatever."
