This year @lmcc_nyc’s #RivertoRiver annual summer festival features four artists (@jean.shin @monachalabi @asiyawadud @themunamalik) who explore social practice to create new works for New Yorkers as we navigate these uncharted waters together.

#JeanShin, whose permanent #MTAArts artworks are installed at the 63rd Street-Second Avenue and @LIRR Broadway stations, has created “Floating MAiZE” and “The Last Straw” (both pictured), now on view in the #WinterGarden at #BrookfieldPlace (@BFPLNY). These pieces, made of thousands of repurposed plastic soda bottles and straws, enable viewers to see their personal practices within the context of the artwork and consider sustainability in everyday practices as well as within the global ecosystem. #R2R20 #FourVoices
