1. What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?*

Luka//nette.  I still keep waiting to find canon Luka more compelling...and it really just isn’t happening for me yet.  He’s likable enough, but at least Kagami feels like a more fleshed out and empathetic character.  Luka... is just super awkward to me in a lot of ways.  Sure, he’s good with his sister.  But his apparent crush on Marinette seemed totally out of left field, I literally hated him freaking making fun of her right out of the gate.  Even his award of powers was more out of convenience, only because Adrien couldn’t act both as Chat Noir and Aspik at the same time.  Aside from a more personal squick for me on the age differences here, their only real area of convergence is an artistic background (which most of the characters already shared) and a tendency to pick up more responsibility on their own shoulders.  Maybe it’s just the lens of having lived through years of personal experience and seeing similar situations from others around me, but that just feels like a setup doomed to failure, especially with the Sword of Damocles of the weight of responsibilities that Marinette absolutely cannot share and Luka’s apparent inability to hold up his end of a conversation that lasts more than 2-3 sentences without the crutch of chord progressions.  

I’m not one for doomed ships.  Especially when I’ve been thoroughly rooting for half the ship with someone else for a long while now.

10. Most disliked arc? Why?

I have a whole love-hate relationship with Season 3 canon.  I hate rival story lines and always have, since my earliest shipping days.  I also really dislike having to see both Marinette and Adrien suffer as much as they have so far this past season, but there have also been some genuinely amazing episodes in the mix as well.  Frankly, the prospect of what is likely to come in Season 4 does scare me a little.

Mylene and Ivan (with close follow ups by Nino and Alya and Rose and Juleka).

Thinking optimistically?

It’s hard to be optimistic knowing Louis will not be dropping his single this month and possibly not until the end of March, but we have to be.  Looking ahead, we at least have a window of when we will get new content, March-June (16 weeks).  I realize it is a long time to wait, but quite frankly some of us have been waiting for a year and a half, so what’s a few more months. 

I am unsure of Sony’s release pattern in terms of quarters, but quarters are 3 months in length.  So, Jan – March is one quarter, and April begins the new quarter. We already knew Sony did not mention Louis’ album as a notable project for the current quarter, so we should’ve figured it wouldn’t be released until spring. 

Using a 2 to 6 wk window between single release date and album release date, here are a few scenarios for Louis’ music releases:

1. Louis drops his single at the beginning of March on the 8th (4 wks) as some would consider it the start of spring (some the end of winter).  Where I am from this is when our spring sport seasons begin. However, I don’t see this as his single drop date.  Unless, he goes with 8 weeks before dropping the album, which would put him at the earliest drop date for the new quarter April 5th.  Also, most articles I have read indicate March is a terrible month to release music, in particular, an album.  

2.  Louis drops his single at the end of March on the 22nd.  So earliest drop for the album is April 5th.  Latest:  May 3rd.  The idea and time table are plausible, but again we see his single dropping in March.

3.  Louis drops his single at the start of the new quarter, first week of April on the 5th.  Album drops earliest:  April 19th, latest:  May 17th.   Without knowing what other artists will be dropping their music, this time frame makes the most sense.  Many music sources believe the middle of April is an ideal time to drop music as it precedes the summer music festivals, assuming Louis is signed up for any. The date is approximately in the middle of the quarter and gives him plenty of time to work and get ready for promo/live performances.  I can’t imagine his voice being ready beforehand as he hasn’t used it for nearly a year or more (that I know of).  The scenario provides him 10 to 14 weeks to get ready, and will not interfere with music being dropped at the beginning of the next quarter in July.  

4.  It’s hard for me to think Louis would wait until the middle of April to release the single, but who knows.  Let’s say he drops it on the 19th of April, his album then could drop earliest: May 3rd Latest: May 31st.

5.  I am unsure if the last week of June (28th) would be considered for the “spring” quarter, but if it does it is the last possible day he could release his album. Which would mean the last possible time frame in the spring for his to single drop is on May 24th, June 7th earliest album release and Latest is the 28th of June...yes the 28th.  This is the one time I do not want a coincidence in relation to the number 28.

Keep in mind, the above were just ideas running through my mind when I received the disappointing information about Louis not dropping his new music in Feb. but in the “spring”. I just hope they do not mean the literal dates of spring but what is perceived as spring.

Of course, there are many possibilities for a timeline for Louis to drop his music, as I have no inside information, and Louis being Louis may go against convention.  The only hardcore facts we have is it won’t be in February and March is the earliest and June is the latest we can get music from him.  In a nutshell, 4-6 wks we will not get music content, and we can expect content before the first week of July.  Anything can happen from March 8th-June 28th which is exactly 17 wks of Limbo.  

p.s. June is still considered spring as June 21st is the start of summer.
