Been in the car over 15 hours. ETA to home will put me in the car for a total travel time of 24hrs. That's IF traffic starts to move. And yet... I find myself in a true winter wonderland. Plenty of time to meditate on how blessed I am. I'm traveling from one family to another. To celebrate life and the-probably-not-actual birthday of my Savior. Savior from despair and fear. The true Christmas miracle and gift is that hope is always there. However small. No matter how far away home is, or how much loss has happened. There is a moment of hope. Nature reveals that in it's cycles and gifts every moment and season. So I am grateful that in our wasteful and capitalistic society, we get to look at that gift from the Universe. Hope in tomorrow...
