Thanks to the kind information of Mr. Filipp Goldscheider, it can be proven that the designs of Germaine Bouret (in the archive Mimi Dakon), which she had sold to the Goldscheider manufactory, were executed by the modeller Stephan Dakon. Germaine Bouret, who specializes in children's illustrations, attended a drawing school in Paris at the age of 16, after which she worked as a fashion illustrator, among others for the fashion house Jeanne Lanvin. In 1927 she founded the publishing house 'Editions Bouret' with a focus on the artistic design of books, postcards, calendars and posters. 1937 Participation in the World Exhibition in Paris. At the beginning of the 40's she refused the request of Walt Disney to work as a draftswoman for his studio in the USA. 1945 Publication of various children's books.

THE GOLDSCHEIDER COMPANY

Founded in 1885, the three generations of the Friedrich Goldscheider company produced over 10 000 different ceramic models. The cooperation of Friedrich Goldscheider’s sons Marcell and Walter Goldscheider with sculptors and ceramicists such as Josef Lorenzl, Walter Bosse, Alexandre-Louis-Marie Charpentier, Dina Kuhn, Michael Powolny, Arthur Strasser, and Vally Wieselthier greatly contributed to the success of the company. Many of them were in close contact with the Vienna Secession or the School of Arts and Crafts and as such were able to guarantee a high artistic standard. Furthermore, Arthur Goldscheider, another of Friedrich Goldscheider’s sons, managed to establish a prosperous sister company, La Stèle, in France.
