Because here (in my hometown at least) we have the tradition that around xmas eve you can gift family and friends mistletoe. It's meant for good luck for the next year, you hang it behind the door til next xmas (it comes packaged with a lil ribbon btw)

So it'd be funny if Cee gifted him some mistletoe as a lucky charm like "I know you aren't a fan of this holiday but merry christmas :]" meanwhile he's holding the packaged mistletoe with a shaky grip like "HUH WHUH" (<- registered as a romantic gesture
