GOD there's so many good ones I can think of

-Classic Boss Theme/Vs. Classic Yo-kai: this one is so fucking HYPE it's sm fun to listen to!! Vs. Venoct and Kyubi slaps too and its pretty much a remix of Vs Classic

-Vs. Odd Yo-kai: I absolutely live for the weird goofy vibe of this song. If you asked me which song from the OST sounded the most "yo-kai watchey" this one would be my answer

-Sleeping Springdale (past): UM???????? HELLOW?????????? THIS ONE HAS NO RIGHT TO BE SO BEAUTIFULLY COMPOSED. WHAT IN THE WORLD

-Ain't Nothin' Like A Funky Yo-kai: Another super fun upbeat song!! The banjo in this one is insane

-Vs. Sighborg Y: ok so I probably wouldn't've known this other wise, but someone pointed out to me that Vs. Sighborg Y has the same little intro symphony as the Flintstones theme song. The theme for this robot character, which already sounds oddly western, shares a jingle with a show about cavemen. This is so absurd to me its funny

-Vs Whisper Cream but like, the japanese version: I am SO SAD they cut the background singers yelling "GHOS BASAS" in the English version. I understand WHY they did but that was easily the best part of the song

-Vs Merican Boss Yo-kai: the transition around the 50 second mark hits different. The goofy clinks and clanks are SO satisyfing

-Vs. Captain Thunder: hehe jazzy

-DOG OF THE NORTH STAR: DOG OF THE NORTH STAR

-Vs. The Ghoulfather: haha funny gun sounds go pew. I can't believe yo-kai watch referenced Goncharov (1973)

-Vs. Shogun King/The Last Nyanmurai: I like both of these so I'm grouping them together here, these are so HYPE

-Katie's House: This one is mega nostalgic for me, since I always played Katie in 1-2. It's just a cute theme, and after going back and listening to it I realized I actually like it a lot :)

Also some King Cream Soda songs I bop to regularly (these count right?)

-Gera Gera Po: nothing beats the original. can I get a gera gera po

-Shiroi Ikakuka (We Want To Eat White Squid): THE GUITAR SLAPS. THE LYRICS ARE ABOUT EATING MCKRAKEN. 10/10 SONG

-Shake Shake Ogon no Shake: I'm SOOOOOO MAD this was the only blasters theme that wasn't localized. literally shaking and crying and throwing up rn

-Burin Burin Daisenpuu (the ending theme for Sangokushi): this one BOPS. BLING BLING BLING BLING BLING BARANBANBAN

-Gera Po Dance Train: SO good omg I eat it up every time I hear it

-Last but definitely not least, Idol Wa Ooh-Nya-Nya No Ken (the cat girl song performed by the irl Nya-KB): ok hear me out. this songs whole existence is wildly funny to me. they got REAL CAT GIRLS to sing about NOKOS AND PANDAS and ALSO, APPARENTLY IT HAD A LOT OF NEGATIVE RECEPTION DUE TO ITS "SUGGESTIVE LYRICS"???????? WHATTTTTTTTTTT NOW IM SCARED

but who cares abt that I can just be an ignorant, innocent English speaker casually enjoying cat girl music. ooh nya nya nya ooh nya nya nya ooh nya nya nya

when I heard this song being used as a rhythm game in 3 I nearly fell out of my fucking chair

Kinda don't like how ppl attack Pokemon fans on Twitter. I mean yeah it's Twitter what are you gonna do? But like, I'm seeing a some yokai watch fans being like "Yokai watch did this thing 100x better than Pokemon and you are a dip shit for not believing otherwise"

I feel like that hurts Yokai watch even more, because some ppl have been playing Pokemon for a long time, and Pokemon is a comfort game for a lot of ppl. I was never be able to play Pokemon because my parents thought it was satanic for a while so I was never able to enjoy it, but y'know that didn't stop me from looking at cute fanart.

I dunno man it's sucks seeing western Yokai watch fans being bitter towards Pokemon fans and then Pokemon fans might not even try to Yokai watch because annoying ppl on Twitter are annoying them.

The 3ds eShop is closing in like 3 months and getting the games physically is getting more expensive, so if you want more ppl to enjoy this funky Japanese ghost game, maybe not compare it to Pokemon all the time?

That's what hurts it.

Because yokai watch is it's own thing. It's a monster catcher like Pokemon. But storywise, mechanic-wise, and catching method-wise, they're completely different franchises.

I'm just so tired of the two being compared all the the time :/
