✧ ░ .·° PARK HYUNGSIK, CIS MALE, HE/HIM ❞ / ah, yes, XENOPHILIUS LOVEGOOD seems a fair bit paler than usual. the TWENTY ONE year old RADIO SHOW HOST is said to be SYMPATICO + ASTUTE yet CAPRICIOUS + DISTRAIT. you would never see the PUREBLOOD + RAVENCLAW alumni without HIS HORN RIMMED GLASSES. rumour has it they saw HIS DAUGHTER BEING KIDNAPPED in their future, which might be linked to their allegiance to THE NEUTRALS.

xenophilius lovegood was always too much

he was either too loud or too quiet, too bold or too timid, too much or not enough. pureblood pairings were destined not to work, he quickly realised. both sets of families would always want different things, and it was always going to fall back onto his shoulders to be everything all at once

it didn’t take long for his parents to separate, living in opposite ends of the expansive lovegood estate, maintaining the image of happy families for the rest of society but never having to see each other if they could help it

xeno felt so utterly ignored, and he surprised himself by finding that he loved it

he only ever had to interact with each one of his parents perhaps once a day, and became extremely good at adapting his persona to satisfy their needs in their son, and he was content to sit back and let his parents give each other the cold shoulder while he had full run of the place

by the time it came for him to join hogwarts, the tension in the household had become unbearable. what’s more, by the time has was thirteen, the rift between his parents had affected their public appearance, and it caused them to become strained and awkward around each other, so much so that they had been dubbed ‘mad’

it didn’t help them that their son, the happy ravenclaw, was a weirdo in their eyes, caring too much about the strange and the extraordinary rather than taking an interest in the family business

becoming a potioneer like a long line of lovegood men had before him didn’t interest xeno at all, and when he expressed this to his father one day in his fourth year, his dad stopped talking to him

he doesn’t really have it in him to care, however. he’s happy how he is and doesn’t want to compromise that by bowing to his dad’s commands

his favourite past time above any at hogwarts was ghosthunting. he would charm the common room wirelesses to broadcast him going on the search for ghouls and demons every saturday night on his show: ‘I CAN’T BELIEVE IT’S NOT HAUNTED!’. he got such a thrill out of it, and people seemed to like it, that he decided to carry on after hogwarts with a show of the same name, travelling around the country to notable haunted spots to scope them out, encouraging his listeners to ‘stay spooky!’

the vision of his future has thrown him. the fact he has a daughter hasn’t thrown him- in fact, he’d nothing short of delighted and excited, but he can’t fathom out how he could let such a thing happen. coming from a family that were dead set on being dissapointed in him, xeno can’t imagine putting another child through that. does he become like his parents? does he ever find her? the unanswered questions are keeping him up at night, and he hopes that, when the event finally arises, he does the right thing

honestly my boy is such a conspiracy theorist but like , is such a shit one. he debunks every single theory he finds with an even more ridiculous one honestly. the moon landing ? a ploy to distract the world from the fact celestina warbeck was pregnant with a secret love child

he will actually talk to anyone ??? annoy the shit out of anyone ??? but he’s extremely good at changing his personality to appeal to everyone’s best nature, so it’s hard to really tell if you’re getting the real xeno or not

will fight with anyone about anything

he’s so useless at practical subjects at transfiguration and potions but he looooves history of magic, and not just because his teacher was an actual ghoul but because it genuinely interests him
