All Things Wild by @gallery.wild
There is nothing more majestic than watching wildlife in their natural habitat, except for the windows of Gallery Wild, where lithe hummingbirds flit about on two recently acquired canvases and a courageous cougar sculpture prepares to pounces on his prey.

Just last week photographers lined up on South Park Loop to capture the Maverick mountain lion feeding on an elk carcass. This kind of wildlife sighting is not totally uncommon in Jackson Hole. But it is ironic that it happened just down the road from Gallery Wild, where Carrie Wild shares her gift for creating and curating some of the most provocative modern wildlife images.
Inspired by studying and falling in love with wildlife, Wild opened her gallery in 2018 to pay forward her love for all things wild. The mixed media images she showcases celebrate wildlife that is unique to wild places like Jackson Hole and Yellowstone National Park, impassioning collectors to help protect wildlife and wild places for future generations.

Paintings of grey wolves, polar bears and native bison and elk herds draw passersby into the gallery on the corner of Broadway and Glenwood streets. Before she picks up a paintbrush, Carrie spends hours in the field observing animal behavior.

In the fall she and her husband, Jason Williams, lead a photography expedition to Churchill, Canada, the polar bear capital of the world. And next year they are planning snow leopard and tiger viewing trips with Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris.
In addition to being an artist himself, Jason is the CEO of Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris where he has been guiding wildlife and photography safaris, snowmobile trips, scenic floats and whitewater river trips throughout the greater Yellowstone ecosystem for over 20 years.
“We met each other because of photography, says Carrie. We feel really lucky that we were able to create two amazing careers and meld them together. It’s everything that we always wanted to do together.”
