I immediately found Meneck suspicious without really being able to pinpoint why. Maybe it was the fact that in a setting very much based on the Soviet era, he was incredibly trusting.

Okay, sosososo this makes sense only because I’ve been writing an AU fanfic for the last few months and this is like an endgame ship that is NOT the main focus of the fanfic (or even like actually going to appear in the current fanfic, I have PLANS for this), but I think it’s a pretty good one because you get all the angst and then then friends to enemies to friends to lovers, which is the good stuff.

Favorite villian in the game. He could have had such a good character arc, but I think they rushed his portion of the story a bit. Like I get it, second boss of the game, but still, apart from Dohalim, this dude could have been such a nuanced character.

Like come on, spy character? There’s so much potential for angst and the themes of duality and good and bad etc.

So I have finally finished Tales of Arise, and I was like Okay, we’re going to be hype for the main characters and not get attached to the side characters or antagoists. And then this guy shows up and I’m like, damn, I can’t NOT give him a backstory and AU and AU of an AU etc.

I have a problem. XD
