Hey Dear!

Let's talk about Bridgerton a bit 😁. Who do you ship? More then one couple? I was a bit surprised that there was no real chemistry between Daphne and Simon for me 🤔.

Oh, yesss, let's talk Bridgerton! I have so many thoughts and feels about the series. Though, first, I have to disagree, I thought Daphne and Simon had a lot of chemistry, lol.  And Regé-Jean Page is such a fantastic actor! He actually managed to say things like "I burn for you" with a serious face and have you swoon instead of cringe in embarrassment. In all, I think it was a fantastic production. They manage to take the good things of a historical romance series and adapt to today's modern audience. 

In terms of ships, besides Daphne and Simon, there are my beloved doomed ships: Anthony x Siena and Benedict x Genevieve. I thought Benedict was going to be gay but Genevieve showed up and I was so there for it too. And, tbh, here's the thing: these two struggling, hard working girls are my favorite female characters of the series (together with Lady Danbury, ofc). They are different from anyone else and they just made the show for me?? Like, how boring if we keep things just between the ton. Show me the rest of London too! How we all are struggling to live here! Daphne thinks she has it bad because she has to marry and, sure, it's not easy. But imagine having no means, no family, singing every night at the opera and still depending on this or that gentleman to make ends meet. I just...my heart goes out to Siena so much. And same with Genevieve. Pretending to be French because it's the only way these people will respect you and your designs, even though you're talented as hell. I LOVE MY GIRLS SO MUCH. Seriously. They deserve the world and these Bridgerton boys were LUCKY to have met them.

And I know they probably won't even show up next season. Or will show up, only to be later discarded because it's ultimately a regency era tv show and no way you're going to have an opera singer and a modiste as heroines. But, on the other hand, all my favorite things about the show were the ones they changed from the books. So, who knows what will happen... I'm just gonna be here making gifs and trying to remain positive, lol.
