Many thanks to all of you who prayed and offered words of encouragement for our time of ministry in Pakistan. We praise God for this meaningful and fruitful two week evangelistic mission where our GCS Pakistan teams and partners were able to minister the Gospel alongside Danish Peter and his team in Karachi in the Sindh province, and alongside Anees Sager and his team in Sahiwal in the Punjab province. We were able to share the Gospel with many thousands of people every day in open air events, an Afghan refugee camp, Brick Kiln Yards, churches, and TV broadcasts. It was humbling to see such an overwhelming response of people turning to Christ in faith and repentance. In Karachi we had the opportunity to meet with Muslim scholars at an Islamic seminary where we shared the Gospel. We praise God for opening up such an unlikely door! It was heartbreaking to see so many families trapped in modern slavery at the Brick Kiln Yards. These people are all trapped in debt, and it seems there is no end in sight to their misery working as bonded labourers making bricks in harsh, hazardous conditions. GCS Pakistan wants to see families released from debt, and assisted with accommodation, an income source, and education for their children. So much needs to be done. GCS was able to work closely with local church leaders to train and equip them in evangelism and discipleship. It was an honour to provide substantial training in different locations. Please continue to pray for God’s work in Pakistan and for GCS South Asia’s ministry in this region. Jesus is raising up His church on this continent and it's encouraging to witness. If you’re looking for an opportunity to serve in missions, while ensuring your time and the resources required are maximized for long-term ministry, let GCS Missions introduce you into missions. We’d love to get to know you and discuss how God is calling you: https://www.gcsmissions.com/missions-apply-now/ If you would like to support the work GCS is doing in Pakistan, please donate to GCS today: https://www.gcsmissions.com/gcs-pakistan-appeal #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining https://www.instagram.com/p/CqQyogcIPuo/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Fantastic open-air-evening-outreach in the Okara district of the Punjab. A lot of people responded positively to the Gospel tonight. You know, I've preached the Gospel all over the world, and one thing I know to be true is that the Lord is not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). This is precisely what we saw tonight in Pakistan!!! “Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12) Dear Lord Jesus, I praise You for the privilege of knowing You, following You, enjoying You, and loving You as my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen!!! #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining https://www.gcsmissions.com/gcs-pakistan-appeal https://www.instagram.com/p/CqI3LwhIsOc/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

A wonderful GCS Pakistan and ministry partners debrief meeting today in Sahiwal. This has certainly been a fruitful evangelistic mission where the Gospel was preached to many thousands of people. When we commit to measuring ministry success, we are effectively replacing the guesswork that is inherent in an assumption with actual data. This data aids in effective decision-making, because we are no longer just guessing or supposing, but being transparent and accountable before God. Our data evaluates not only the financial and fiduciary duties, but also the quality of the Gospel message being proclaimed, the background and number of people reached, the level of leaders trained and equipped, the follow up that needs to be done, and the strategic effectiveness of the overall mission. I highly praise the team: Pastor Anees, Pastor Azam, Pastor Kashif, Pastor Mukhtar, Evangelist Roben, Evangelist Kashif, Evangelist Zohaib, and brother Sajwal. Jesus is raising up His church in Pakistan in a mighty way during these challenging days. We are looking forward to building the evangelistic momentum in this nation. #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining https://www.gcsmissions.com/gcs-pakistan-appeal https://www.instagram.com/p/CqIdG7jI_sj/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

A joy to speak at an open air evangelistic meeting this evening along Dadfatyana 8/11L near Chichawatni in Sahiwal. Local churches made a huge effort to invite the community, and there was a huge response to the Gospel, which we give praise to God. Pray for more communities like this in spiritually oppressed remote areas of Pakistan to encounter the Gospel, and for the Body of Christ to grow numerically and in maturity. #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining https://www.gcsmissions.com/gcs-pakistan-appeal https://www.instagram.com/p/CqBcUjvIOX0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Brick Yard Mission, Burewala Today our team has been ministering the Gospel and providing food to several Brick Kiln communities across Sahiwal. These people are all trapped in debt, and it seems there is no end in sight to their misery working as bonded labourers making bricks in harsh, hazardous conditions. Driven by poverty and need, these people take out loans or a cash advance – to pay hospital fees or get a sibling married, for example. In return, they are told to work on brick kilns until they can repay the amount borrowed. The money they owe keeps increasing, spiralling out of reach, thus keeping them and future generations in debt. Reasons for this can include high interest on the amount borrowed, low wages further cut due to corrupt officials, increasing and unlawful deductions, and forged entries into the books that the workers do not get to see. GCS want to do all we can to help free people from both their physical and spiritual prisons. Please pray for this situation to change. Please support what GCS is doing in Pakistan. https://www.gcsmissions.com/gcs-pakistan-appeal #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining https://www.instagram.com/p/CqAR7P2ozIy/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

We have been able reach and teach many people this Sunday in back to back meetings across interior Punjab region. It was a blessing to fellowship this morning at A.R.P Ravi Presbyteri Church, and at Salvation by Grace Church in Chichawatni. We ministered the Gospel and provided foundational teaching to support those young in their faith journey. We are now preparing for tonight’s evangelistic event, where we hope to share the Gospel with many more souls. We have a very important calling to reach the most unreached with the hope of the Gospel, and we take that calling from our Lord seriously. If you would like to help but not sure how, please consider donating to GCS to help us mobilise the Gospel in Pakistan and address the severe humanitarian needs in this nation. You can do this on our website: https://www.gcsmissions.com/gcs-pakistan-appeal #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp99_pWogJ4/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Brick Yard Mission, Sahiwal Pakistan is considered one of the nations where debt bondage and labour exploitation are most deeply entrenched. The country stands eighth in the Global Slavery Index with an estimated 3,186,000 people living in modern slavery. Products made by forced labour include bricks, coal and carpets as well as crops including cotton and sugar cane. Recent surveys estimate about 4.5 million people, including some 1 million children, work in slave-like conditions at thousands of brick yards in Pakistan. Bonded labour is widespread, often involving landlords selling and buying labourers, maintaining private jails to discipline them. Cases of landlords and police raping female labourers are frequently reported. Today, our team had the chance to minister the Gospel and provide food to one such brick yard community in Sahiwal. We met several children (some as young as 11) who are working with their parents to help pay off a debt they can never repay. GCS and our local church partners will continue to do all we can to help these families. Many people in debt bondage have their passports and other ID documents seized by their employers, leaving the workers unable to leave or in living in fear of being criminalised. Some victims of debt bondage face threats, intimidation and violence from the people that exploit them. Although bonded labour is illegal, laws against it are rarely enforced, particularly in cases where people in power benefit directly from exploiting others. Like many forms of modern slavery, bonded labour flourishes where corruption, poverty and discrimination are common. Limited access to justice, education and jobs for discriminated groups make it difficult for them to get out of poverty. #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining https://www.gcsmissions.com/gcs-pakistan-appeal https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp7WOw1oObJ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Grateful to be greeted at Lahore airport this evening by Anees Sager and the mission team from Sahiwal. We are all looking forward to spreading the Gospel across this densely populated region in the days ahead. It was also a special blessing to meet my dear brother and colleague Raja Babu Ahtesham, his wife, and four fabulous children Faiza, Elezar, Joshua, and Elisha. Ahtesham is a passionate evangelist and publisher. He published the first edition of my book ‘Taming the Tiger’ in the Urdu language, which has been used as an evangelistic tool to reach many people across Pakistan over the years. He will soon be publishing the 18th Anniversary Revised Edition in Urdu. It was so nice to hang out with Faiza, Elezar, Joshua, and Elisha who are all inspiring young evangelists having all studied our GCS Online Training Course. #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining (at Lahore, Pakistan) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp5vQq6omCz/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the harvest of souls at tonight’s open air meeting in Gulshan Market in Korangi town, east-side of Karachi. The ground team sectioned off a sizeable portion of road to hold a large gathering of people. Pastor Danish Peter and the efforts of over 20 local churches from different denominations brought this community event together. Pray for each person who responded to the Gospel to grow in their faith and knowledge of God. #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining https://www.gcsmissions.com/gcs-pakistan-appeal https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp3i7wdIV7E/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Grateful for your prayers and encouragement for my visit to an Islamic University this morning where I was able to share the Gospel with several Muslim scholars. Jamia Binoria Aalamia is an Islamic educational institute in Karachi that is regarded as one of the most modern Islamic seminaries (Madrassas) in Pakistan. Our team was given a very warm welcome by the faculty, who gave us a full tour of the campus and two mosques. I was given a wonderful opportunity to share my testimony and the Gospel, and left two copies of my testimony book in English and Urdu with the Vice President. This was a very intimidating setting in which to speak, but God is ever present and I'm deeply honoured by this remarkable opportunity. #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining https://www.gcsmissions.com/gcs-pakistan-appeal https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp2oofTIoO7/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

GCS collaborates with organisations like Grace Network to take the Gospel to some of the most unreached people groups in rural settlements throughout the world where predominant religions include Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. In the early hours of the morning our missions team started a long journey to the Sanghar district in interior Sindh to work amongst a Hindu tribe called the Marwari. It was heartbreaking to see the living conditions of poor, landless families, most of whom are held in forced debt bondage, and women and children who are often subjected to sexual exploitation. Today we were able to share the hope of the Gospel with this community and provide wholesome food for everyone to enjoy. #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining https://www.gcsmissions.com/gcs-pakistan-appeal https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp0UyCQITfn/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Deeply honoured to minister the Gospel this evening to a large gathering of people at an open air event in Lyari Basti, Taiser Town, which is a northern suburb of Karachi City. Pastor Danish Peter of Grace Network and the efforts of 10 local churches brought together this mixed background audience from a city where 99% of the population is Muslim (Karachi being the third largest Muslim city in the world). There was an enormous response to the message, but we now pray that the seed of the Gospel sown into this community will grow and bear eternal fruit! ‘It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.’ (Romans 15:20) #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining https://www.gcsmissions.com/gcs-pakistan-appeal https://www.instagram.com/p/CpycyiBoYmH/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Afghan refugees living in Pakistan face a host of problems, ranging from seeking shelter, employment, medical treatment to police harassment and violence. Today, my friend and colleague Danish Peter, and his team took me to minister the Gospel to an unregistered Afghan refugee camp in a suburb of Karachi. The majority of this community would never had heard the Gospel before. Considering the extremist background of many of this community, it was overwhelming to see them all listen with such genuine interest. There are about 380 refugee families (numbering close to 4000 people) living in squalor. GCS is deeply saddened by the immense suffering of thousands of Afghan refugees, and we want to meet the needs of these families while pointing them to the light and hope of Jesus Christ. Please get in touch if you would like to support this vital work. ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 25:40) #GCSPAKISTAN #GCSUK #GCSPrayer #GCSTraining https://www.gcsmissions.com/gcs-pakistan-appeal https://www.instagram.com/p/CpxSf23oz6c/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
