anyway while it's early and empty on the dash, i wanna rant about a cold take i've seen floating around for some reason: alhaitham is not arrogant. he knows exactly what he can probably do better than the average person, but he doesn't brag about it. he's distant, and he's blunt, and he's sarcastic, yes. but he knows his skillset and his limits, he's open-minded, he's aware that he's intelligent, and he knows what he wants as well as what the best way to get said thing is; he is not arrogant, he is confident.

no honestly i love him, for the series he's in he's pretty well written. Honestly people just try and twist villains into something that they're not, like Dottore from genshin being called a pedo cus he experiments on kids (spoiler alert: he's not one) and in my opinion, the only villain I actually hate from any media is Mori :3

Genshin fans stop dumbing Venti down challenge for fucks sake.

The amount of mischaracterization he has within the fandom is INSANE. I know he acts carefree, but trust me he is not stupid, the guy is at least more than 100+ years old and is an Archon. He is older than your great grandfather.

It's so obvious that some of you are so focused on physical appearance and are so biased, that it seeps into the way you guys write and percieve characters.

I hate that such a deep character like him gets reduced into being a "tr*p" "boywife" or a "femboy" (because of your stupid heteronormative transphobic views) who is always drunk and dumb. And gets hypersexualized by straight men (ig this is an example of the male gaze) and by fujoshis (this one is more in ships ig)

You can have your headcanons of course, but when a large amout of the fandom starts treating him like this his entire personality gets erased. There is a difference between canon and fanon.

I am so sick of it all. I just want to enjoy content of my favorite character without having to deal with these things anymore.
