i was so convinced i was gonna be in a glam rock band when i was a kid too. my dad was always like this huge rockstar in my eyes (bc he is a musician and i grew up listening to him play and talk abt band stuff and be in diff bands throughout my childhood) and i was always so insistent to him that he teach me to absolutely SHRED on guitar but. the issue with that. is that. my dad does not play guitar. he plays bass. and keyboards. so he’d tell me he couldn’t teach me guitar and i’d need lessons for that but he could teach me bass. and i’d look at him and with all the dead seriousness a 5 year old in a hannah montana pajama set can muster be like. well can i still be in whitesnake if i play bass. and he’d be like well i think they already have a bassist but yeah most bands need one. and i was like GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME IM GONNA KICK OUT WHITESNAKES BASS PLAYER AND TAKE OVER. i was maybe a little megalomaniacal as a kid

incidentally i never learned to play bass. i am learning keyboards though :D

ITS SO GOOD.#give genuine advice like maybe change up the chorus on the second repetition.#whenever we’d pass the walmart guitars yknow how they sell those little kid guitars for starters?#id always beg him to get me one and he’d be like no. but not cause i was too little to learn.#no. bc he was like if you’re gonna learn. first act guitars are TRASH and break all the time and don’t stay tuned #no son of mine will learn on a first act guitar. we’re going to guitar center. or smth #when i was young and my (bio) brother was like 16 he got his first guitar #it was an epiphany SG special i believe? anyway it was this gorgeous black guitar that sounded amazing #i remember distinctly it was an epiphone. my sister still has it actually #anyway i LOVED that guitar. he never let me touch it really but i wanted so bad to have one exactly like it #i would still give like 3 kidneys to get my hands on an epiphone special god DAMN #anyway. this concludes Bry Lore.
