#GLoH2019 @ifrarchaeology students have been excavating and conducting pedestrian survey. On survey, we have recorded kilometers of agricultural terraces. These are recorded as Gallina pictographs. Final photo with this amazing group of students and TAs. This @ifrarchaeology #GLoH2019 group has been absolutely amazing. Incredibly inquisitive self learners and thinkers, they've all dealt with a lot of environmental difficulties and applied themselves in creative ways to what I consider to be one of the more important, or at least interesting, areas in the Southwest. We were hit with two hail storms in about 20 minutes while we were about 25 miles out on dirt roads and hiking paths today for the last day of @ifrarchaeology #GLoH2019 's survey and mapping component. Lauren found her first point on survey! As per standard @ifrarchaeology #GLoH2019 policy, she named it. This little obsidian point is a Pueblo side notch that looks like it was broken and then reworked. It's now called Shadow.
