#ocs#my ocs#my ocs art#original character#velvet kuragari#gloomy nurse kuragari#magical girl ward#her story is kind of complicated but she was designed and conceptualised last year when my mental health was really in the gutter#so her story reflects that somewhat - there were/are strong themes of suicide and hope/healing (hence the nurse theme)#her whole thing is that she helps others by going into their mindspaces to defeat 'viruses' that cause their suicidal thoughts#(extended metaphor)#i say this about EVERY character i know#but i do want to make a 20-ish chapter comic about her#suicide#< warning tag#zeno's art

why is velvet's monitor fairy named ribbon
It's a little confusing to me because they don't look very ribbony
the name doesn't have that much meaning to it when it comes to ribbon's themes/appearance, but it's one that velvet chose subconsciously, so it does relate to what velvet likes (fashion and ribbons and cute things)!!
#its kind of hard to explain what i mean when i say that velvet chose the name subconsciously without spoiling things but#the monitors are named after something that relates to their patient (such as velvet)'s interests or goals. something important to them!#as velvet enjoys fashion and cute things such as ribbons and hair accessories#ribbon is called ribbon in turn!#and salome's monitor nectar is called that because butterflies are important to salome in a way that i cant explain cuz its spoilers again!!#ask zeno#magical girl ward#gloomy nurse kuragari
