Playing Wolfenstein (2009) now and. All through 3D, Return to Wolfenstein Castle, and Wolfenstein RPG, I was kinda going "Haha ok I know they technically take place in the same universe but like what if this was actually connected to Argent D'nur. I know it's supposed to be the actual Spear of Destiny but what if it was actually a Night Sentinel spear. What if this magic energy the Thule are harnessing is the same thing as the Sentinel Energy and/or Argent Energy. What if it's all connected." And I was mostly just thinking about it for the purpose of connecting it all for, y'know, fanfic stuff, but now that I'm playing Wolf2009... I may not like most of Hugo Martin's design choices, and even most of those I do like, I think could've been executed a lot better, but I gotta hand it to him, I think he really was doin his best to tie Wolfenstein and Doom together.

#pikspeak #bideogaem rambling :)#cuz i mean im like. 2 missions in to wolf2009 and we got.#glowing blue/cyan energy that is sometimes stored in canisters that look a lot like eternals sentinel batteries #relic powered by magic crystals; at least one of which is glowy and blue like a sentinel crystal #ancient civilization that worshipped the black sun; and the day of black sun was the day demons attacked taras nabad #the thule mysteriously disappeared and one intel piece i found hypothesizes it was after a cataclysmic event #and its briefly mentioned in eternals codexes that the sentinels were on earth for a bit during the unholy wars before humanity was around #idk if the thule WERE argenta; i dont think so really but they were definitely working on a similar path #idk man im learning so much Lore that technically applies to doom and i still have like 5 more wolf games to go #not to mention quake and commander keen #but thats good its good my brain is goin nuts and i am havin fun #i still dont like a lot of hugos choices but maybe a few of them are at least starting to make a little sense #still dont like em but at least i might be understanding WHY he decided to do what he did #maybe this is all about to be cintradicted by lore i just havent gotten to yet though well see #side note as soon as i heard bjs voice in wolf2009 i started yelling ITS PALADIN DANSE #and i was RIGHT theyre the SAME VOICE ACTOR #which is funny but i cant hear bj talk without goin heheheheheheheh danse #i also care danse. he made some. poor decisions. and is in a bad spot. but he is trying So Hard to do good.#big strong stupid and trying to do good.... man i really do fall for the himbos dont i.
