------  things  got  worse  as  he  grew  older  ,  but  when  it  happens  on  such  a  regular  basis  one  learns  how  to  take  the  hits  thrown  their  way  ,  which  is  exactly  what  jaejin  did  .  his  saving  grace  ,  however  ,  finally  came  when  he  was  fourteen  .  his  mother  finally  feeling  like  he  had  witnessed  his  father  enough  ,  without  her  influence  ,  to  form  his  own  opinion  and  so  she  told  him  ,  “  now  that  you  know  your  father  ,  you  can  make  your  own  choice  :  either  you  continue  to  see  him  whenever  you  want  and  have  your  own  relationship  or  you  don’t  ,  but  whichever  you  choose  is  alright  with  me  and  we’ll  respect  it  .  ”

------  his  mother  respected  his  choice  ,  as  she  normally  did  ,  but  his  father  was  another  story  .  he  constantly  bombarded  jaejin’s  mother  ,  complaining  about  his  son  avoiding  him  and  wanting  nothing  to  do  with  him  ,  but  she  continued  to  stick  up  for  her  son  .  of  course  ,  there  were  certain  occasions  in  which  he  gave  his  father  chances  to  prove  him  wrong  ;  birthdays  ,  holidays  ,  big  events  ,  but  he  was  always  met  with  violence  and  disappointment  ,  so  finally  ,  he  told  his  father  himself  how  he  felt  .  told  him  that  he  no  longer  wanted  anything  to  do  with  him  and  as  far  as  jaejin  was  concerned  ,  the  two  weren’t  even  family  ..  his  father  nothing  more  than  a  sperm  donor  . 

------  so  ,  the  pair  kept  their  distance  ,  and  years  had  passed  before  jaejin  heard  from  his  father  again  .  by  that  time  ,  he  had  just  finished  his  training  and  debuted  as  a  model  for  his  company  ,  a  gig  which  had  fallen  into  his  lap  thanks  to  his  mother  .  jaejin  ,  unwilling  to  trust  a  word  that  came  from  his  father’s  mouth  ,  never  believed  his  father  whenever  he  attempted  to  reach  out  stating  he  was  finally  sober  due  to  health  issues  .  a  few  months  after  continuously  pushing  his  father  away  ,  he  received  the  call  from  his  mother  that  he  had  passed  ,  but  as  his  next  of  kin  ,  jaejin  was  required  to  identify  the  body  in  order  for  them  to  proceed  .

------  this  devastated  jaejin  .  mostly  because  the  guilt  was  crippling  ,  but  also  because  he  never  expected  to  actually  mourn  his  father  .  the  twenty  -  two  year  old  jaejin  spiraled  ,  turning  inwards  and  throwing  himself  into  his  work  .  he  didn’t  eat  or  sleep  properly  and  after  two  years  of  mess  ,  his  mother  asked  if  he  could  give  therapy  a  try  .  even  if  he  were  only  doing  it  for  her  at  first  ,  she  didn’t  care  .  without  hesitation  ,  he  did  ;  there  wasn’t  anything  he  wouldn’t  do  for  his  mother  ,  after  all  .

------  throughout  therapy  ,  he  eventually  learned  to  process  the  trauma  he  had  been  given  and  slowly  pulled  himself  from  the  self  -   destructive  rut  he  had  fallen  into  .  he’s  still  a  workaholic  who  often  gets  so  focused  he  forgets  to  take  care  of  himself  ,  but  he  no  longer  goes  to  the  dark  places  anymore  ,  and  now  ,  he’s  one  of  the  most  sought  out  models  .

------  normally  ,  empathic  is  seen  more  as  a  positive  trait  ,  but  i  chose  it  for  one  of  jaejin’s  negative  ones  because  of  how  his  emotional  empathy  often  causes  him  to  react  .  due  to  the  guilt  he  still  feels  about  his  dad  ,  he  allows  himself  to  fall  victim  to  many  “  energy  vampires  ”  and  because  it’s  so  easy  for  him  to  feel  the  emotions  of  others  ,  he’s  not  the  most  helpful  when  you’re  feeling  down  (  if  you’re  crying  ,  so  is  he  )  .

------  he’s  very  closed  off  about  himself  .  he’s  the  type  of  person  who  can  say  a  lot  without  actually  ever  saying  anything  .  sometimes  ,  people  realise  that  fact  ,  but  for  the  most  part  ,  he  does  a  very  good  job  at  hiding  things  .

------  he’s  resourceful  and  it  doesn’t  take  him  long  to  assess  a  situation  and  react  in  a  way  that  ensures  things  work  out  in  his  favor  .  obviously  ,  he  never  uses  this  for  poor  reasons  or  monetary  gain  ,  but  it’s  important  for  him  to  never  feel  the  way  he  did  growing  up  .

------  still  a  big  mama’s  boy  ,  loves  her  to  pieces  and  would  go  through  all  sorts  of  hell  for  her  .  she’s  the  healthiest  relationship  he’s  experienced  with  a  family  member  and  he  wouldn’t  trade  her  for  the  world  .

born in seoul, only child of two wealthy parents. father was a famous formula 1 driver who eventually had to quit his job due to an injury. it’s the reason why he moved back to seoul and why soonja was born there.

her parents got divorced around the time she was seven and soonja ended up moving to rome, taly with her father. both of them weren’t the best sort of parents, but at least her father was more protective and caring and soonja had always admired him. 

life in italy was different. without knowing the language, she did her best to quickly adapt and fit in, but sadly that wasn’t always the case. still soonja was madly persistent and she had never taken a no for an answer, which of course led her to learning the language in just under six months. 

over time she fell in love with the italian lifestyle and just started feeling accepted? on top of that, her love for cars only grew even more and we all know that italians have the best cars. so by the time she was 14, she had managed to convince her dad to give her some driving lessons, just for fun of course. 

long story short, over the span of 4 years, she became extra skilled and acquired her very first racing license at the age of 18. 

finally with that little license in her hands, she felt like she could conquer the world and from then on, it was just race after race after race. 

for soonja racing was therapeutic, racing was everything. it was an escape from the harsh reality and people who didn’t like her and she just felt wild and free, because she is wild, extra wild. 

other than racing, she hasn’t really done much in her life lol! but she ‘came back’ to seoul a few months due to a need for a scenery change. however, there’s more to the story. she hasn’t spoken to her mother since she was seven and she also hasn’t seen her hometown since then, so over the years, a lot of feelings have been building up inside of her. it’s like a siren’s song. she can’t resist the temptation to go back to her home country and see what her life could’ve been like had she stayed.

he’s introverted by choice, i think. he doesn’t like to put himself in social situations he’s just not a people person, but put in any position where he absolutely has to be social you’d be surprised he’s not an extrovert. 

he’s good in conversations and that might likely be due to him being more of a listener than a talker. he’s very observant and watchful of people and their actions so he can decide how to best react to them.

super secretive. he lives with his roommate doyeon, but he’s almost never really actually at home. doesn’t bring people over since he doesn’t really like the idea of others in his personal space.

sora was born and raised in tokyo, japan in her early childhood. a modest enough home in one of the family neighborhoods in the city. it had enough rooms for a family of three with a schoolteacher mother and a father involved in politics and government.

her mother was sweet and kind and taught grade school children. the memories that sora has of her are faint but she remembers a quiet and compassionate woman, a woman that sora favored when it came to looks as she became older.

unfortunately on a ride back from school one day, with sora in the backseat, a car collided into their own in an intersection. the driver of the other car speeding through the stoplight and hitting the driver side door. the car spun as a result.

sora doesn’t remember much of it, but her mother was declared dead when paramedics arrived on scene and sora was taken to a local hospital to treat her injuries. a broken leg and some small lacerations on her face from the airbag. sora was around six years old when the car accident happened.

for better or for worse, after mourning the loss of his wife, her father pushed himself farther and farther into his work as a politician. a big part of his work was focused on decreasing car accidents and increasing car safety in the streets of tokyo.

he became a leading political figure in the city and eventually he caught the eye of the prime minister. after years of rising in fame and power and showing his ability to work with people of all kinds, sora’s father was pegged to become an ambassador to south korea.

as a result, they packed up their life in japan when sora was ten years old and moved to seoul, south korea. while her father was able to speak in korean, sora didn’t know a single word in korean and it was very tough for her to move to a new country with a different language and different culture.

if it was for her korean tutor, she would have hardly learned the language at all. because she was the new japanese student, she was picked on by her fellow classmates and it wasn’t until she gained a grip on the korean language that she was treated a bit more normally.

sora’s father was ambassador for quite a few years, throughout a lot of her early tween and teenage years. when she was seventeen, he decided to retire from the position with full intent to move back to japan. he offered for sora to return with them, but since she had spent so many years in seoul and japan reminded her too much of mother’s death, sora elected to stay in korea.

from that moment on, sora lived by herself. staying in the small apartment that her father and herself had lived in. for a few years he paid for her ability to live, but once she enrolled in college and started working part-time jobs, her father stopped paying. 

she studied pre-law and political science in undergrad. but during that time she found that the part-time jobs that she was working at didn’t make enough money. she needed an alternate means of pay to sustain herself and be able to pay for law school.

there wasn’t a doubt that sora was beautiful and she wondered if she could use that to her advantage. after doing research online, she found a few escort agencies looking for new beautiful women wanting to make money.

after a year of escorting, sora has become a bit pickier with her services. the company she works for allows her to be choosier with her clients, escorting men and sometimes women of higher profile and much more money. in secret she has slowly become a prized escort of worth. she’s been seen with more than just one rich businessman at a party or event.

once she sets her mind to something it’s hard to stop her. she calls herself determined while others might say that’s just stubbornness. 

can be a bit impulsive, doesn’t always think everything through which can be troublesome. she keeps it tempered most of the time but the impulsiveness pokes out.

i mean who isn’t a little manipulative and cunning when it comes to becoming a lawyer?? she doesn’t often use it for bad gains or anything like that though.

when she was fourteen, she was forced to get a job to help keep up her parents charade. she was never allowed to keep any money for herself, nor did her parents ever spend it on her.

born in seoul, comes from the family that founded one of the biggest gangs in seoul and carried it down the line and it’s now sori’s gang

pretty normal upbringing and no one would know about his family’s situation bcos his parents were doctors through the day, like it’s a cover up but his parents also had a thing where they wanted to save lives, to make up for the ones that they took ( so hey, might be criminals but they were good people too ), but his parents were the first co-leaders of the blackjacks

at the end of elementary he was moved up a grade bcos basically he’s a smart ass kid like an actual genius and he learns things way quicker than anyone else ( by age 11 he knew 3 languages fluently and could take apart a computer, modify it and put it back together )

but yea, grew up popular but he was pretty passive and neutral and stuff too, but yea he made friends easily and assumed natural leader like roles in friend groups

joins the gang at 15 and becomes one of the hackers there, and he is one of the best anyway

at 19 is when he first kills someone though and it isn’t the last time, but he finds someone that used to deal for their gang trying to leak information and he kills them before they can do anything

after that his parents start training him more in combat and other skills and he doesn’t realise that they’re actually training him in leadership, and at 21 they hand over leadership to sori finally

and he becomes a psychology professor at 22 to keep up the façade like his parents, but at the same time he loves teaching and helping the kids out, like he does genuinely care and what to help them out?? and he’s a really good professor as well tbh

either way, his life just kinda continues like that anyway but he’s given the label “the ace” from his gang, and it’s the first time since the gang’s first leader someone has officially gotten that name bcos it basically means that he’s possibly the best leader the gang has ever had, so if that tells you anything then yea.. and again, please read the gang page bcos i can’t summarise the mechanics of it and what they are

a couple extras are just that the gang is based in one of seoul’s biggest clubs and gambling halls, but no one actually knows that? like no one suspects it bcos it’s in such plain sight. it’s 24/7 tho bcos it’s a gambling hall too so it’s just the perfect place. but that is where you can find sori sometimes, and if you do he’ll probably just tell you that he’s keeping an eye on his twin brothers or meeting up with friends, but that is where his office is based and the main gang things go on, but it’s mostly underground and stuff ( it’s vvv well hidden tho )

it’s possible for your muse to know his secret but it needs to be plotted - also your muse can be apart of his gang if you want just hmu ( like he gives people jobs if they need them and he’s good about gang stuff and keeping it away from people’s personal lives. like he can give protection to those that need it, he’s good )

and yes, there will probably be some triggering themes with him and they will all be tagged, but the gang adds a dark aspect to him

in terms of personality he just kinda comes off as this neutral, passive but easily amused kind of guy. like he’s vvv snarky and sarcastic sometimes but it a good way, and he teases a lot, but as a professor he’s one of those ones that kids love to have even if he can be hard on them to. overall, i’m still working out his personality as i go tho but he’s vvvv good at lying and tricking people but only bcos he has to and he doesn’t really do much unless necessary bcos his like personality outside the gang ain’t a lie? but ye so here
