you have no idea how much it pains me when the narration just says something like "regis was chatting with entreri" and then doesn't elaborate on what they are chatting about. i recognize that it isn't important to the story, but it is important to me.

they have so much history! did they ever unpack that? this is the man who kidnapped you and maimed you, and stalked and repeatedly tried (and once succeeded) to murder your friend. and now he's your ally, and he's proven himself trustworthy, and you're actually quite comfortable in his presence now,

this man who we don't hear speak all that much, except to complain and to accuse and to shoot fools down with biting sarcasm-

what in the hell are you two chatting about?!
