this last panel reminds be of the end of the Meteor festival arc, where Legosi chases haru up the stairs. where Haru was actively running away from the situation, and both of them aware of what this kind or relationship means in society, gosha and Toki are completely unaware of it, just basking in each other’s love.

Oh, and they died because they ignored the issue. the Cross-animal issue. I should have known. 

like i said a few posts ago, I made the comparison between Gosha’s and Legosi’s relationship. Both in love, one of them is a total dork, and are a different-species couple. The difference between the two is have Legosi and Haru are constantly aware of the issue, while Gosha and Toki were oblivious to it. I think this is paru (not too subtle) sharing her thoughts on both they’re relationship. While Legosi and Haru have to struggle with the difference between them, they have been accident free (other than the ya know, the beginning). Gosha and Toki chose to ignore, or at least were blinded by love to ignore it, and that lead to their heartbreaking downfall.

Gosha started to get spiky, i thought it was because he’s made but apparently it’s a memory thing, so that’s weird.

He starts to think about his relationship with Toki, which melted my heart

then we learn that Toki dies because she goes for a frenchy with a man who’s mouth is entirely filled with poison.
