I assume this means sleepy dreams. Caiji has nightmares, typically the same thing over and over. Eyes and dripping and an ache in her hands, ache in her nose and cheeks from crying. So, so many eyes, and endless halls of flesh she's rended to pieces.

Hmm. There are two settings at the same time, but they both have the same descriptions:) Feels like being watched from the dark. Smells like cold stone. Tastes like bitter crimson. Sounds like shattered glass. Looks oily and dark, eerily pristine.

It's a bit hard to articulate this without revealing anything. Big Mama had been in power in the Hidden City for about four hundred years by the time Caiji was born. And two hundred years prior, it merged with New York. There was no one she inherited it from, but the rule of law dictates that whoever can kill Big Mama becomes the next ruler, and that law is still in place. Take that as you will
