20 QUESTIONS FOR ANGELINA GOTTI
The Women Behind Chanel
1. When did you start working for Chanel?
I was an intern for Chanel straight out of Fashion School. My work was placed into a bid with like a thousand or more students. To have my work be chosen, is unexplainable. Very blessed.
2. Are you related to the infamous John Gotti?
Yes. A long bloodline however, but yes we are related. He’s my Grandfathers Brother.
3. Does your family history interfere with businesses?
Not at all. I was born into this family, you can’t help who you’re related to. Does it have its perks, yes, I mean you’re asking me about it now. It’ll always be relevant, but it has no ties to what I do and who I am as a person.
4. Is it true that you’re dating Angelo Vancartier? And also someone else?
That is true. I have two boyfriends. Both whom I absolutely love and adore. Most people do not understand polyamory, and really, what’s to understand? At the end of the day love is love.
5. How is it like dating a musician?
It’s a learning experience. Musicians are creative beings, theyre expressive, and eclectic. Everything I know about music, I learned within my relationship. I can play guitar and also piano. I wouldn’t have learned any of those things without them. We are a team.
6. Why Love and Hip Hop?
I know it is not my type of thing, but I’m there really to support my boyfriend and his family. Jude Law is his father and he’s on the show, so even though Angelo doesn’t say much, I know he’d like to establish a relationship with him. I’m here to support him with that.
7. What’s new for Angelina Gotti?
More sweet smells, and bold fashions. I have a partnership with Chanel as you know as well as Mac Cosmetics. So excited for those to drop this Fall and Winter. Those are the main things that are coming up for me.
8. How’s the family?
Back to that again. (Laughs) The family is fine. We are all pretty busy. My father is retired, mother retired, it’s just the kids doing things right now. My brothers are still doing Real Estate, and my sisters and I are doing our own thing. Everyone is good at the moment. Happy for all of them.
9. Children one day?
Yes! yes! yes! But Marriage first. I want a ring so bad (laughs) I’ll be chill though until that time comes.
10. Opinions on new Cast members you’ll meet.
I saw the recent season. It’s been entertaining to say the least. I’m looking forward to it though. I don’t have anybody specific to talk about. I do however plan to see how my boyfriends relationship with his father pans out. I’m rooting for them. Jamille, Angelo’s brother has his doubts, as he should, but that’s why I’m here. (Smiles) I’m the glue that holds things together. When my family needs me, I’m there.

Savvy, 💁🏼♀️ Sassy. These are the outfits that I wore during the week. Spring is slowly approaching so you can see the small transition from sweaters to loose long sleeve, blazers, and semi sleeveless dresses. 👗👠

HOOP DREAMS + BOYS WITH PEARL EARRINGS
Lobe Adornment from Brim Taylor to Shakespeare
Writer Naomi Fry is vehemently opposed to a particular style, “The biggest turnoff since I was a young lass: men in too-large hoop earrings!” But a small hoop is a different story, “A good example of doing the look right is Ewan McGregor as Renton in Trainspotting.” For something more contemporary, look to Carhartt WIP’s 90s garage-y SS19 lookbook, in which a male model demonstrates an expertly proportioned double-hoop look. Naomi makes a great point: look to your heroes and take some cues. Maybe a young goth-y Robert Smith should be the ear decoration North Star. Perhaps a mid-life crisis is fast approaching, and a Porsche is out of your price range; the addition of a young Johnny Depp hoop, could give you the edge you desperately crave! Maybe fashion is your hero! If so, why not get heads turning with a pair of Fellini-inspired, shoulder-grazing embroidered earrings from Moschino’s FW19 collection.
Choosing the right style is imperative. You can’t just pierce and go. Alternative or elegant, stud or dangle, gold or silver, polished or rough, the options are truly endless. A cross, a skull, an industrial-thick Martine Ali chain link dangler, a simple hoop, even a clothespin given a fashion spin courtesy of Ambush—what are you trying to convey? Are you a Gen Z bedroom-pop artist with bleached blonde hair, a muscle-bound Daddy type in cargo shorts and construction boots, or a wispy Midwestern-born bartender/sculptor clad in all black? Or maybe you just think it looks cool. That’s perfectly ok. Musician Brim Taylor chooses to sport a “cross of ice” in his ear. He knew from a young age that wearing an earring made a statement, “It was like what the cool non-jock guy did so I was like, yep let’s go.” It can be that simple!

Business Attire is always important. You’re making a statement as soon as you step into your meeting or work place. Bold but warm colors and prints are always a top priority choice. Those CEO’s might not remember your name but they will sure remember “The girl with the leopard shoes.” 💁🏼♀️
