John Travolta and The T-Birds perform Greased Lightning in Grease (1978).  John first hit the pop chart in 1976, peaking at number 10 with Let Her In, followed by two more making the top 40.  After the success of his two duets with Olivia, her number one solo hit from Grease and Frankie Valli’s number one title song, Greased Lightning was the fifth single released, and it peaked at number 47.  Greased Lightning is the only song from the original 1971 production also seen in the film version.
