Grumfy Dumf is a marf. More specifically, he is a TechnoMarf, a small humanoid dog creature who studies and uses technology extensively. I created him as a comic foil to Dante. A bratty kid is annoying to read about, unless there is another character for more mature readers to relate to. I designed Grumfy to be a peer to Dante in terms of height so that they could easily interact inside comic panels. However, they are opposites in just about anything else. Unlike Dante, Grumfy Dumf is a grownup character. He is fretful, careful, and aware of his lack of power. As a voice of reason, I hope he will widen the appeal of the Sandwich Dragon concept.
