Of course there are valid reasons to dislike nandermo as a couple. I mean "I just don't like it" is completely understandable by itself and that's cool, same way I don't care for many popular ships I've seen through the years.
But boy, aren't there people you know *exactly* why they hate it with such passion. And I'm not talking about homophobes, which is the obvious answer.
My dude/dudette/dudthem, if you built an image in your brain of Guillermo as this perfect little angel who has never done anything wrong and Nandor as this irredeemable abusive asshole in an unsexy not-dark-commedy-appropiate way, that's fine, I'm sure you're having a blast in your no nuance allowed club, but canon doesn't care about your feelings. Season 3 had the smoothest power imbalance destruction ever, so smooth actually some of you didn't pick it up, and that's a writer work you can't deny. It's just a very well-done thing. And the way y'all are so ready to call queerbaiting because they didn't bang after the fight but still expect a natural progression that successfully corrects all the toxicity of their relationship, just proves you're no fun.
Nandor doesn't deserve Guillermo? Ok, but Guillermo doesn't deserve anyone better. He doesn't deserve a cool regular boyfriend who treats him like a king while he murders innocent people from 9 to 5. A normal man couldn't handle this crazy bitch and that's one of the main reasons why he should fuck that old man.
Also... the obsession with unrequited love/lust. I know most people say it out of a sincere interest in that sort of dynamic, but I've seen some others... and I've seen what they regularly post and like... If you want to say "I find Nandor too hot to date a fat man", you can say it. Like, it's perfectly acceptable in this society. You go to youtube videos and there's lots of comments saying shit in the line of "lol what if Nandor is waiting for Guillermo to lose weight before turning him" and getting dozens of likes. Coming for fat people isn't that much of a unpopular opinion, you don't need to make it pass as media criticism or whatever.
