Synopsis: Alex and Thomas spend New Year's Eve at a Charity gala.

This incredibly gorgeous portrait of my OTP is by the amazing ArtbyAinna (Insta). I've been holding onto this art for almost 2 years. I can't even begin to express how much I love this piece. It is one of my favorites of them ever. It's so tender and soft and romantic and it's so very, very much them. I truly can't thank Ainna enough for bringing this vision to life.

The ballroom gleamed with soft hues of gold, set against brilliant black. Flickers of gold twinkled like stars in the night upon the ceiling. The shimmering decor exuded elegance, while the subdued lighting provided a warm, inviting ambiance for the luxurious New Year’s Eve charity gala. The event began with a cocktail reception, followed by a charity auction, and finally, a countdown to the New Year celebration.

While most of the guests let loose near the bar or on the dance floor, moving to the beats of a famed DJ he had never heard of, Thomas and Alex found themselves drawn to a quieter corner, avoiding the boisterous revelry. The strands of lights behind them warmed them with their golden glow, a serene environment for the pair to lose themselves together while the year ticked away.

Their movements were slow and graceful as the pair swayed to a melody of their own. Thomas held Alex close in his gentle embrace, his hands resting softly on the small of her back. Alex’s arms circled around his neck as she nestled her head on his shoulder. Her eyes closed, relaxing in the comfort of his arms. She knew if it were up to him, he would have left the second the auction had ended, perhaps even before, had they accepted his offer to purchase a few pieces before the event. But still, he was here with her—because of her. A radiant smile spread across her lips; there was nothing he wouldn’t do for her, but that feeling was mutual.

“I love you,” she whispered softly. She tipped her head slightly, her gaze meeting his.

His lips brushed gently against her forehead, placing a tender, lingering kiss. “I love you, too, my Alex.”

The cheers of celebration grew louder, the countdown to the New Year beginning.

“Would you like to join in?” He questioned, though his arms remained warmly around her.

“I have everything I need right here.”

“I could not agree more.”

They leaned in, their lips meeting in a tender kiss even before the countdown was completed.

As cheers of “Happy New Year” filled the space, the pair stayed together, locked in a loving embrace. No matter what the future held, as long as they were together, they would make it through.

“Ready to go?” Alex whispered when they parted. She held her hand toward him.

"Almost." He couldn't resist stealing one more kiss. It was the first of many kisses to follow, but it was enough for now “Happy New Year, my love”

"Happy New Year, Thomas!"

He laced his fingers with hers, guiding her out of the ballroom, without a glance back toward the party, still in full strength. All they needed was each other, their children safely asleep at home, and their beloved black lab.

As much as I'd love to hold onto it, I feel like it's time to share it with the world. I know Thomas and Alex aren't a popular pairing but I appreciate any and all support of them now and always.They will always be the couple that I hold closest to my heart.

Happiest of Birthdays to (me and) my beloved Alex Hunt!

I love her so much. She helped bring me into this fandom and helped me get back into writing and creating fanworks for the first time in a really long time. Alex and Thomas helped save me from a really, really dark place that I don't know I would have gotten out of without them and this fandom.

I can't thank the always lovely @weetlebeetle enough for another Cheeb art of these two love birds! I can't stop smiling every time I see them, especially in this style! They're just so precious!

With her phone in hand, Alex watched as Thomas knelt down in the soft, newly-cut grass, his tender, adoring gaze set on the two children rushing toward him. Their innocent faces bathed in the glow and warmth of the sun on the late spring day. Squeals of anticipation escaped Felicity's lips as she puckered up to kiss her father's cheek while Vincent followed her lead. 

"Mwah!" Felicity giggled before giving her father another kiss.

Thomas beamed in pure bliss, his smile radiating with the immeasurable love he held for his son and daughter. He hadn't known he was capable of such love, but he'd come to understand there was no greater gift than his children. They were the best thing to ever happen to him, and he treasured every moment he spent with them.

He extended his arms around them, holding them close, unwilling to take a moment with them for granted.

Alex's heart swelled with joy, and her eyes misted over as she captured the magical moment with her camera. She clicked repeatedly, capturing all the joy and laughter of the memory forever. 

 "I love you," he whispered, kissing their foreheads one after the other. "Both of you. Thank you for making me a father." 

Tears of joy trickled down Alex's face as his gaze met hers. Pride radiated between them at the beautiful children they had created. "I love you," she mouthed, smiling as he replied in kind. 

The silky fur of their black lab rubbed against her legs as Bogart nuzzled his head into her, not one to miss out on any family time. Her hand brushed over his head, scratching his ears. She couldn't help but let out a soft sigh, overcome with gratitude for the incredible life and family she was lucky enough to have.

"Mama!" Vincent called, extending his arm out toward her.

Felicity's innocent giggle lingered in the air, a beautiful melody as Alex knelt beside them, wrapping her arms around her family. She was greeted with kisses of her own.

Bogart ran circles around his family, his tail wagging playfully. He bounded between them, barking joyfully and sneaking kisses along their faces as he passed, grateful to be a part of the happy moment.

The warm spring sun bathed the lush meadow surrounding them in its golden glow. A gentle breeze caressed their cheeks, strands of her hair blowing in front of their faces. Dandelion puffballs swayed around them, occasionally sending some of their fluffy tufts twirling in the air, showering the pair in the softest white confetti.

Thomas nestled comfortably against Alex as he read aloud from The Little Prince. The words of the story swirled between them, painting a beautiful image of one of their favorite books. The enchanting tale carried them away to a world of imagination and wonder.

Alex held him from behind, her fingers entwining with his until he had to turn a page. She nuzzled her face into his neck, letting the soothing sounds of his voice overwhelm her. The story's messages always resonated deeply with her. She laughed and cried through the Little Prince's journey, knowing all too well that moments like this were of the most beautiful in the world. 

Thomas turned behind him, brushing a kiss on her cheek. His gaze met hers for a moment, their eyes filled with warmth and understanding. No words needed to be spoken, for the story of their hearts spoke louder. 

With another tender kiss, Thomas turned back to the page, continuing to read the tale of the golden-haired little prince whose story reminds us that the most beautiful things—like sharing love among the pages—must be felt with the heart.

Thank you for reading this little drabble. I really struggled with it. I didn't want it to be a lot, but I didn't want it to be pointless fluff either. I hope this drabble captures the love between them that only grew through the shared reading of one of their favorite books.

The Little Prince has long been one of my favorite books, and it has been Alex's as well. I wanted to commission her and Thomas reading it for a while, and now seemed like the time. This is one of my favorite commissions simply because it captures these two so perfectly. Unlike the Hollywood love stories with dramatized big memorable moments, their love has always been the strongest in these small moments.

The glow of the TV cast a cool light over the room. The familiar sounds of one of their favorite films playing on the screen drowned out the faint snores of their faithful black lab, Bogart, sleeping on the floor beside them.

Alex nestled her head in the crook of Thomas’s neck, taking in his scent and the feel of his soft skin against hers. A blissful smile spread across her face as his arms urged her closer.

His fingers drew mindless paths along her arm, lulling her in the safety of his embrace. The warmth of her breaths tickled his neck. He gazed down at his beautiful wife. Her brown hair fanned out beneath her head on his chest. A contented sigh slipped through his lips at the sight. 

There was a time when he enjoyed films in solitude. It was only without the distraction of others that he could fully appreciate the art of the film. He spent countless hours absorbed in the media, learning and studying from those he considered masters. He took pleasure in the critique of what he watched, and rarely did he stop to just sit and let the story draw him in without any assessment of it. But, with her, everything was different. 

He traced the outline of her jaw with his fingertips, lifting her chin slightly. Her soulful brown eyes met his, warming his chest. He brushed a kiss on her forehead, marveling at how much his life had changed. Now, he had come to enjoy a balance. He still immersed himself when a film warranted it, but he also took the time to enjoy these quiet moments, where the film took a secondary role and became a backdrop to his own Hollywood love story. 

The once overflowing bowl of jalapeño popcorn began to dip as the movie played on. Alex’s eyelids grew heavier with each passing scene. The comfort of the familiar story lulled her further toward sleep.

Thomas held her in his arms, listening to the steady rhythm of her breathing as it gradually slowed. The blue light of the screen cast a dreamlike glow on her features as she slept, making her even more beautiful. His fingers glided gingerly through her hair, savoring her soft, silky strands.

Taking care not to wake her, he pulled the blanket further over her. He couldn't have imagined a more perfect night than this. It didn't matter that the movie was her choice and she had fallen asleep. What mattered was this—the time spent together, with her in his arms where no words needed to be spoken to know the depths of the love they shared.

The best love stories weren't the loudest or the ones with the most memorable dialogue. The best stories were the ones that were told in the quiet whispers between two lovers' hearts, dancing in tune until they began to beat together as one—a love that could only be felt deep in one's soul.

I am trying to spend less time analyzing my writing because that's where my self-doubt kicks in and then I edit it until there is nothing left or I don't share it because of my anxiety.
