As my gerbil Nemo's two brothers passed due to intestinal tumors about a year ago, I give him lots of attention now and let him run free in the bathroom as well.

Since he loves tunnels, I built him his own small "dungeon" he gets to use whenever he's outside his enclosure. Needless to say - he loves it! :)

I used empty cartons (tea, meds etc.), empty toilet and paper towel rolls, clear plastic folder, acrylic paint, and toilet paper + wallpaper paste to connect everything.
