I do actually own a fursuit. He's much more of a display piece than anything else these days, though.

I did school choir from year 7 til about halfway through year 9 when it disbanded. We were a Catholic school, and yet the choir mostly consisted of... Michael Jackson and Jason Derulo? It wasn't a very serious Catholic school.

My longest ongoing craft project is a length of hand-braided cord that currently sits at about 6 and a half metres. It also has a raised spiraling pattern!

Yes, the Graveborn are organized, but this is essentially because they are a crushing totalitarian dictatorship, with only the illusion of free will among individuals. Look for 'Complete Graveborn Lore' the official Facebook page.

Anon, I hear you, but consider this: we're just having fun here.

Official word and lore is always nice, it provides a foundation to play around with and build off of. But with afk specifically, a lot of the lore is spread through nonlinear stories, and oftentimes gets shifted and ajusted to accommodate new heroes and unions that Lilith releases, which gives us far more room to speculate and/or just get a little silly with it. Hell, even Lilith themselves don't take the characters that seriously what with all their little comics.

And even with the Graveborns themselves, the sheer variety we know of in how they were raised/built/reincarnated means that it really stands to reason that there's a fair few who may not have even the slightest thing to do with Quaedam and the greater Graveborn cause. Certainly there'd be fanatics and devotees, but I wager there'd be some who only see Quaedam as just another deity within the world.

Basically, this is all just for a bit of a good time, like any other fandom in existence.

Edit: I realised this sounded overly dismissive, so my apologies for that it wasnt exactly my intention with this reply. But like, we're chill here ye, and I just think it's funny to think about a bunch of Graveborns operating on "uni campus at 3am during the height of exam season" energy.

Answer 1) Dude I am so fucking happy that their getting a spooky winter skin set as a family and Niru's skin-exclusive art is just like Holy Fuck like they filled him The Fuck Out it's a full "I'm you but buff" situation and I am so very gay

Answer 2) The mental image of a Graveborn startling themselves with their new happy-rattle brings me joy beyond comprehension tbh like that is such a wholesome little thing my god

I also love that the implication is that the happy-rattle is an entirely new instinctal/pathology thing that some Graveborns wouldn't even realise was a thing until they were like twenty seconds deep into it like imagine waking up one day with the ability to purr and having zero clue where you gained that knowledge

I hold a great affection for all of the albums, it’d feel disingenuous to try and choose an “absolute” favourite.

However! I Love the direction that they’re heading with TSOS, I love the more orchestral incorporations, I love heavier dives into religious mythology, I fucking despise WTWWHG FOR MAKING ME CRY LIKE THAT, just... Hoo boy

Moscow After Dark’s orchestral and Testament In Black still remain my top bonus tracks they’ve done. MAD’s orchestral was what got me absolutely hooked on these German bastards, and just like... TIB’s lead-in from the initial lyrics, the single drum beats, Matthew going absolutely ham on the guitar screech, the raw power of it all My God

31) Best song to rage to?

Deus Vult (In the Name Of God) is always a fun one to let some frustrations out. But like, I’ve also found Let There be Night to be equally good. Tho that just may be just because of how I vent.

 Any of the songs that have like... A really long note to follow are just perfect for that. Singing for therapeutic purposes is a powerful thing.

I’ll always violently resonate with “Venom of Venus inundate our veins / Eradicate minds ‘til only lust remains / Set us ablaze like the wake of hurricanes”

But in time I’ve just grown ever more partial to the final chorus of Midnight Madonna, more for the performance than anything I guess. The vocalizing under the main singing, the rougher/ more shouty delivery, the way that Attila’s accent slips in just a little more than the rest of the song... Heavenly

35) Which song made you fall in love with them?

Funnily enough, it was the orchestral version of Moscow After Dark. In the very early days of me listening to them, it, and Son Of A Wolf were always the first ones of the discography that I would listen to. There was just always something about Attila just letting loose with his operatic background that stuck with me.
