i think, rather than having to buy all the stained glass equipment at once, i might try glass on glass mosaic that way i can collect some of the supplies needed for stained glass more slowly while still being able to start following certain inspirations
#ive been so inspired recently by glass art#collage mosaic and stained glass#i have so many ideas for incorporating and combining certain elements of each medium#and so many things i want to express#i need to be making art but specifically i need to be making art that utilizes LIGHTS and FRAGMENTS#but i also want to be thrifty about it#the thing is i wouldnt have had this idea if i didnt get inspired by a very specific image#and was thinking that mosaic would actually be a better way to create the blurred yet illuminated effect i want#because to me what’s so beautiful about mosaic that you cant get with stained glass is the lower contrast of not having ‘lineart’#and even the possibility of using colored grout to this effect#and i also have the idea of increasing the DRAMA by not creating a piece that hangs in a window#but like as if for a gallery setting backlighting it in a controlled way and being able to do MORE#with methods i wont explain until i can make sure they’re actually feasible but#have kindaaaaa done something like it before so i think i can swing it
