HAYLEE BURLESON The Bachelor Season 1: Contestant
All posts involving Haylee
Age: Young Adult Life State: Vampire Hometown: Plano, Texas Occupation: Writer Hobby: Vampire Lore Aspiration: Bestselling Author Traits: Hates Children, Loner, Gloomy
Haylee was one of the contestants on Season 1 of the Bachelor. She was best known for her sweet personality and her constant near death encounters.
Bachelor Season 1 Spoilers Below:
Ranking: 3rd Group Dates: 2 One-on-One Dates: 2 Pre-Rose Ceremony Party Roses: 0 Total Public Votes For Season: 13
FUN FACTS
Haylee was one of the most heartbroken contestants upon being eliminated at the top three. During her final 3 date Devonte hurt her feelings by flirting with the bartender. He realized she was the only one left that his mind still strayed from when spending time together and had to let her go.
Haylee is the baby in her family, never quite receiving the same time and attention as her older brother who would become leader of their clan upon their father’s deaths.
She got in a massive fight with her father during hometowns, ultimately siding with Devonte.
After the season Haylee had the toughest time mending her heart and moving on. At the time of the wedding special she was found taking a trip to Selvadorada where the top three travelled during the show, generally moping around the house the final three stayed in.
Haylee was up for consideration to become the next Bachelorette, tying for second place with Tuesday and Regan.
During The Bachelorette, news broke that Haylee had gotten married to Samuel, a night one boot from said season. The two now have a child together although most of the public is confused about their connection.

🌹 Here are the results of the Bachelor Season 1 Baby Bonanza Reunion! 🌹
For the reunion we had planned to see what Devonte’s kids would look like with each of the Top 10 - a what if scenario. We did do that but the stream was a bit of a mess in execution and a myriad of technical issues. Therefore the archive of the reunion unfortunately does not exist. Luckily the results still do, so while you cannot watch the whole reunion, here is a look at what Devonte’s kids would have looked like if he chose any of the other Top 10 ladies, and what his potential future kids with Johanna will look like...

Only the Top 3 remained as Devonte took the girls to Salvadorado for fantasy suite dates to test each of their connections one more time before deciding on who would become the final 2. ~
The first date went to Johanna, who received the most votes in the favorites poll, earning her 3 directed interactions. They went out to a museum to take in some local art and artifacts. Smitten as usual the couple spent a good deal of time standing outside, lost in each other's gaze, before Johanna beat Devonte to the punch, asking him to be her boyfriend. Eventually they spent some time looking at the art before having a candlelit dinner outside, sharing a few sweet moments between one another before heading back to the fantasy suite. They relaxed in the hot tub for a little bit before promptly going to bed, tired from a long day and just enjoying being able to cuddle up to one another for the first time. The next morning they got up to some WooHooing before Johanna left, ending a wonderful date all around.
~
The next date belonged to Delphine, who only received 1 vote in the favorites poll this week. He took her to a park to explore a bit of the jungle they were nestled in. This time Devonte was the one to not waste any time, quickly asking Delphine to be his girlfriend. They spent some time slow dancing and holding each other close, talking the day away before exploring the great outdoors a little more. As the sun began to set, Devonte grilled some dinner for them to have a picnic under the stars. Though they did not converse a ton over the meal, they left off with some stargazing before heading back to the fantasy suite. This time Delphine wasted no time getting to some hanky panky with Devonte just inside the door, the two heading to sleep straight after. We couldn't help but notice that Johanna was still on his mind in the morning though, even though the two had a lovely time and shared one more kiss goodbye as Delphine headed off.
~
Lastly Haylee got a date of course, her also receiving 1 vote in the favorite's poll. Devonte took her out to a local bar for some drinks and dancing and experiencing the local culture. The two chatted for a bit outside before quickly heading indoors to literally save Haylee's hide. They decided to dance together some, having a fun time until Devonte's flirty charm snuck up again and he made a quick pass at a local. Haylee was far from happy about this storming off to the other room. Devonte followed trying to do damage control but Haylee was having none of it. Going into the dinner with an icy vibe, the two made small talk most of the time. By the end of the meal Haylee seemed to calm down and they got a  bit more flirty as they discussed the situation a bit more. Devonte finally asked her to be his girlfriend and lead to her to the fantasy suite where Haylee promptly took him to the hot tub to WooHoo. As Devonte slept, Haylee stayed up most of the night really contemplating her feelings and the happenings of the night. They shared one more sweet kiss and reassurances in the morning, Haylee clearly deciding she was still on board as she went back to her room, awaiting her fate that night.
~
Devonte then had the rest of the day to sit with his feelings, look deep inside himself and reflect on the passed three days, as that night he would have to make the most difficult decision thus far, knowing he must break the heart of one of the ladies he had grown to care about so much in order to decide on the final two...
~
At last it was time for the newly corpse free rose ceremony. Each of the ladies trickled in, more nervous than ever as emotions had grown incredibly strong at this point, and Devonte was clearly distraught having to make this decision, but after much introspection, he knew what must be done. The first rose went to Johanna. For a long time Johanna had been at the forefront of his mind and they had more than made up for their recent rough patch. After a splendid day together and a wonderful night where they did a good amount of enjoying each other's bodies and each other's companies, Devonte was more secure than ever that they had something special together. Thus Delphine and Haylee were left. Delphine had found herself in the bottom 2 for the third week in a row. They had a beautiful date together, sharing a passionate night and countless romantic moments between the two. But was the passion as strong with her as it was with the other ladies? And was the freakier side of Delphine that Devonte seemed to bring out a good thing? Or releasing a side of her she would rather keep tucked away? Haylee on the other hand had ridden the middle for a long time before ending last week as the front runner, her bond to Devonte growing stronger each week. Less picturesque, Haylee's date involved some trouble in paradise. But was that fight enough to call it quits? Or was it what Devonte needed to realize just how strongly he cared for her? Devonte knew he loved them both a great deal, but deep down he knew that only one lady he could feel himself falling in love with... and that was Delphine, who received the final rose of the night. Unfortunately the disconnect with Haylee during their date proved that their bond wasn't as comfortable and soothing as the other two and that his eyes just weren't for her alone when they were together. With a heavy heart, he walked her out and sent our little vampire home.
~
And now we are left with only 2. After weeks of drama and passion, only Delphine and Johanna remain.

With 4 girls left in the running Devonte travelled to their home towns to see where they're from and meet their families before deciding which one he couldn't see himself being a part of. ~
First Devonte was headed off to Madison, Wisconsin to spend some time with Tuesday and her family. During the afternoon Tuesday took him to her favorite local hangout, a witchy themed bar and magic shop where she often gets supplies to practice her herbalism. Her witch genealogy rarely coming up she was excited to talk about it more with Devonte. They spent some time playing foosball together before relaxing in the under ground springs as Tuesday debriefed him on her family. Then it was time to head home where Devonte and Tuesday prepared a lovely dinner for her family. First he spoke with her father Callum, the two having a lovely chat before her mother Caitlin entered the room. As is Devonte's style, he made a light pass at her mom to break the ice which did not go over very well with anyone in the room leaving them to a brief, awkward conversation before he went to spend some time with her siblings. Tuesday's younger teen sister Selena is like Tuesday's prodigy, the two being very close, so Devonte knew her opinion would be the most important. They had a long chat in the living room where they hit it off well, Selena really taking a liking to Devonte, before Tuesday's younger brother Finley finally came downstairs to join the conversation. They had a brief but good conversation as Devonte realized just how close in age he was to Tuesday's younger brother, wondering if that was strange for Tuesday despite it never coming up. After one last group convo with the whole family, he and Tuesday had a moment alone outside before he had to leave. Tuesday stayed out of the family affair most of the time, but she seemed impressed with how Devonte handled it and pleased overall with how the night had gone, the two even sharing an intimate cuddle before Devonte had to leave.
~
Next our bachelor was headed to Plano, Texas to meet with Haylee and her family. Haylee took Devonte on a date to her favorite bookstore and hangout space where she did her vampire lore research and wrote her books, wanting to share this special place with him. Throughout the date the two seemed to be getting flirtier with each other than they really had in the past, clearly enjoying each other's company. Back at the house it was time for Devonte to meet with Haylee's family. He headed upstairs to speak with her father Alan. Coming from a prestigious line of vampires, Alan being the current head of the clan, it was vital to make a good impression with him. Devonte knew Haylee looks up to her father a great deal, and intimidating as he is, Devonte sat down with him to have a lovely little chat, her mother Winifred joining half way through. Not learning from yesterday, Devonte tried to break the ice with a small flirt towards Haylee's mom as well, that she was very charmed by but definitely pissed off Alan. Noticing the tension Devonte quickly fled to the kitchen to meet with Haylee's eldest brother Ivan, whom she had a decent relationship with, but not very close due to their age difference. The two got on great, Devonte realizing they had a lot in common and actually being pretty good friends with Ivan before going to speak with Dajvah, the middle child. Haylee had warned Devonte that Dajvah's deep jealousy of her bond with their father, him wanting to become the next leader of their clan. Despite Haylee not caring too much about his opinion, Devonte still tried to talk with him, which quickly devolved into an argument. Tensions were brewing in the other room too as Alan told Haylee about the pass Devonte made at Winifred, and that he had reservations about Devonte. It turned into a massive argument, Haylee distraught her father did not like the man she was falling for. taking Devonte outside to WooHoo in the garden to let off some steam before he had to leave.
~
Up next was a trip to Birmingham, Alabama to meet with Johanna's family. The two headed to the lounge Johanna spent her nights performing at for a date, both happy to be back with each other. They spent a long while chatting and flirting before Johanna showed off her violin skills, serenading Devonte. Johanna has a large family with a lot of complicated dynamics so Devonte was nervous to navigate it all, especially since it had been a long time since Johanna spent time with her siblings and was clearly nervous as well. First he spoke with her younger brother Dayton, who sees Johanna as a troublemaker and was not fond of her. This time Johanna's mom Francine actually made a pass at Devonte, him awkwardly rejecting it before talking with Johanna's kid sister Madeleine, who really dislikes Johanna and resents her for getting most of their parents' attention. Devonte actually got along with her and tried to help mend the sisters' relationship with each other. He had a good conversation with her father Noah, before joining Johanna and her brother Dayton on the porch. Knowing Dayton was really close to Johanna and that his opinion would be vital he made sure to make a good impression. He did a good job making sure Johanna was alright as her final brother Montel who disliked her briskly joined the conversation. At the end of the night Madeleine actually joined the conversation, having a sweet moment with her sister for the first time in years, making it known that Devonte urged her to do so. The way our bachelor handled everything really meant a lot to Johanna and they shared a few sweet moments out by the pool, Johanna expressing her gratitude for him and how much she cared before he had to head out to his last destination.
~
Lastly Devonte landed in Orlando, Florida for a meetup with Delphine and her family. Delphine took him on a date to the dog park where she trains animals on the side. They seemed pretty smitten with each other chatting away and spending time with all the dogs that showed up. It really warmed Delphine's heart to see him interacting with the animals. She told him over a game of chess that she was nervous for the family meeting as there was some lingering tension she was worried about. Delphine opened up about how she had a bit of a wild streak back in high school, getting a little rebellious, getting a tattoo, staying out late, and making out with a lot of guys, including a boy that her sister had a crush on. Her sister Kristen being very prim and proper was highly against this behavior and even though it had been years, still held a grudge against Delphine for it all and the fact that their parents were so forgiving towards her. At the home Devonte had a brief but nice chat with her mom Isabelle before biting the bullet and talking to said sister. Kristen finally seeing an opportunity to get back at her sister tried to get Devonte into bed, but Delphine noticed her sister's efforts from afar and decided to confront her. Devonte went to have a small chat with her father Cleavant, leaving the ladies to discuss things. Hearing the shouting from the other room Devonte quickly rushed back to the argument where Kristen tried to make another pass at him right in front of her sister this time. He tried to smooth things over but it was too late as the sisters got into a massive physical altercation. Delphine angrily took Devonte outside after knocking her sister out to try and calm down. She was grateful Devonte was there and they had a long talk about how she felt good to finally stand up to her sister, ending the night on a good bonding moment for the two.
~
Finally it was time for the rose ceremony where one lady would be sent home, giving us the final 3. The first rose went to Haylee, their bond incredibly strong after her tumultuous hometown, Devonte really seeing her commitment to him after she stood up for him to her father. The next rose was to Johanna, feeling closer than ever after being able to mend a family rift between her and her little sister. Then it came down to Delphine and Tuesday. Despite Tuesday's hometown going relatively well she was pretty detached from the experience, but the two had been getting flirtier each week. Was it a lasting romantic bond or just an attraction though? As for Delphine their love story had been growing until she found herself in the bottom two this week and last. Her hometown was easily the most dramatic after getting into a fist fight with her sister. Was letting old drama come to blows able to solidify Devonte's care for her, or did the drama too much for him? It turns out the fight let Devonte realize just how much he cared for Delphine, and she received the final rose, which meant Tuesday was leaving the competition in 4th place. After seeing how bonded he felt with the other girls after meeting the families, he realized he adored Tuesday but only as a best friend, and this week finally let him come to terms with the fact that their romantic bond was not there like it was with the others. Thankfully Tuesday had come to the same conclusion that week, and she left with a smile wishing him luck with the others, both of them knowing they'd found a lifelong friend in one another at least.
~
Only 3 remain, as Devonte takes the last ladies to Salvadorado for a jungle getaway and to spend some more one-on-one time with each of them as we reach fantasy suite week!

Only 5 remained as the ladies and Devonte spent their week relaxing at a cabin in the woods After a group date, one-on-one, and a bonfire it was time to send one more lady home resulting in the Top  4. ~
The ladies got a day to mingle with Devonte as they got used to their new home for the week. He set his sights on Delphine first, doing some flirting in the kitchen before proceeding to his directed actions as a result of the week's favorites poll. Those results of our first poll where the public could only vote for one girl each ended up with Delphine and Haylee receiving 2 votes each, and Johanna and Tuesday receiving 1 vote each, leaving Regan with 0. He went and spoke to Tuesday first, the two hitting it off and getting flirtier with each other each week. Next he hung out with Johanna in the gym proving that there was still a spark between the two despite being a little rocky the past couple of weeks. His conversation with Haylee went well, Haylee seeming fairly charmed and responding well to his flirts, despite being one of the girls who was usually less hot and heavy with him. Lastly he went back to give some attention to Delphine, the two sharing some sweet moments in the kitchen together. With plenty of the afternoon left, Tuesday pulled him for a steamy makeout on the back porch before Regan dragged him aside as well, wanting to at least get a moment with him before the day was over, startling Devonte at first by coming on too strong as always, but turning things around by the end of their conversation. All in all a more successful day of mingling than the past few.
~
This week's group date consisted of Devonte taking all 5 of the ladies to enjoy the great outdoors around them at a local campsite. Haylee ran inside the communal cabin area to save her skin along with Johanna who went to collect her thoughts and do some reading at the start. Regan swooped in and planted one on Devonte right in front of Delphine and Tuesday, clearly upsetting the two as they left the area to commiserate together on what they just saw. When Devonte tried to embrace Regan back she inexplicably pushed him away and ran off to do her own thing, perhaps only wanting to be that bold with him when they other girls were around? Haylee came to console him and despite a bear-y rude interruption they had quite a nice conversation that ended in a bit of hanky panky upstairs. The second half of the date Devonte joined Johanna at the fire place and they also had a good long talk that ended in a bit of making out. In the end Haylee got the one-on-one time with Devonte where they did some stargazing together and some lounging in the cabin just enjoying each other's company before sharing a sweet embrace on the porch as Haylee received a rose and therefore safety for the week.
~
It was time for the one-on-one date as Johanna received her second date with Devonte, joining him at the Ranger Stanley Hot Tubs hot springs. Their last date weeks ago was an incredibly steamy affair, and Devonte was hoping to rekindle that heat on this date. Feeling a disconnect the past few days, he really wanted some alone time with her to make sure there was still a connection to be shared. They hung out in the hot tub chatting and flirting the day away before just basking in each other's presence around the campfire. Lastly Devonte made them some drinks, giving her a rose of course as he was plenty reassured they hadn't lost their connection. Johanna confessed her love for him and shared sweet sentiments about always being there for Devonte no matter what as they headed back to the lodge.
~
Tensions were pretty high between the remaining 3 girls in danger as they went into the pre-ceremony bonfire party. Devonte wanted to spend some time talking alone with each of the ladies to see where their heads were at and test their connection one last time before making the very tough decision of who to send home. First he talked with Tuesday, their conversation going fairly smoothly, Tuesday seeming pretty confident in their ever progressing bond, even if things remained relatively friendly. Next was Delphine as she nervously went to talk to him, still feeling more hurt than Tuesday about what she saw on the group date. It seemed her nerves got the best of her as any romantic interactions from either of them seemed to not be landing, leaving both parties somewhat insecure about their connection. Lastly he spoke to Regan who yet again seemed turned off by Devonte's strong passes at her when left alone, confusing Devonte after how intense she had been in weeks prior. Devonte sat on his own for a good long while contemplating what direction to go in, clearly distraught as whatever decision he made at this point would be incredibly difficult.
~
Alas it was time the most dramatic rose ceremony of the season. Haylee and Johanna joined Devonte at the podium already receiving safety for the week. An array of emotions displayed across everyone's faces knowing only 2 more women would be joining them up there. Devonte seemed incredibly upset, not wanting to have to break someone's heart since he truly cared so much for every girl left. There was no time to waste though as Devonte did have to make his decision known to the girls. The first rose was given to Tuesday as he felt most secure about their connection, leaving Delphine and Regan in the bottom two. Delphine had such a strong bond with him the past few weeks, their romantic connection really ramping up and solidifying in Sulani, but her hurt from seeing him kiss another woman shut her off on the group date and left her nervous enough to leave an awkward energy between the two going into the ceremony as she shied away from his advances. Was it enough to break them up, or simply a bump in the road? On the other hand, Regan had in been in this position time and time again, never landing on solid ground with Devonte. Things were intense when they connected but those moments still seemed few and far between, and often in front of the others these days leaving Devonte somewhat unsure of how she truly felt. Would the heat that was there be enough to carry her through again, or was this finally the end of the road? It was an incredibly tough call that took a definite toll on our bachelor, but the final rose was given out to Delphine, meaning that Regan was finally sent home. Though Devonte's feelings had really bloomed for her, hers seemed to shrink, and with so many other girls he felt more stable with he just couldn't keep up with the back and forth nature of their relationship. Delphine was elated to remain in the competition as Regan was irate, being the first contestant to completely brush Devonte off, storming out the door without a second look his way.

Only 4 girls are left, meaning Devonte will be travelling to their hometowns and meeting their families!

6 contestants remained as the ladies and Devonte spent their last week in an island paradise. After a group date, one-on-one, and a rave it was time to send one more lady home resulting in the Top  5. ~
The day of mingling was more of a day of repairing as quite a few of the ladies were feeling jealous about Devonte spending time with the other women, only natural as feelings get stronger this close to the end of the competition. Everyone left ended up with votes from the favorites poll, though some more than onthers, Rosabel getting the most at 4 votes, Tuesday and Johanna right behind with 3 votes, and Regan, Delphine, and Haylee tied at 2 votes each. He spent some time chatting with Delphine first before they snuck off to WooHoo in the shower. Afterwards he spent some time flirting with a very high Tuesday before they had a WooHoo in the shower as well. Naughty naughty. Delphine, Rosabel, and Johanna did some bonding together as Devonte went to spend some time at the poolside with Haylee, the flirts directed at each other not quite landing unfortunately. Johanna was feeling a little cool at the start of their convo but she eventually melted back into his arms as they slow danced for a moment to Tuesday's... lovely singing in the background. He spent some time chatting with Regan over dinner but for once it was Devonte coming on strong and Regan not responding well at all, leaving Devonte confused as he rounded out the night chatting to Rosabel at the fireplace. His and Rosabel's conversation quickly turned sour like the previous week, Devonte at least having success with a bit of flirting before heading upstairs, a bit uneasy about where he stood with some of the ladies though.
~
For the group date, Devonte took the 3 lowest scoring ladies to the Island Festival for some fun in the sun. Those ladies ended up being Tuesday, Regan, and Rosabel, Devonte not feeling confident as confident about the bond with any of the compared to some of the others and wanting to suss it out farther. He first spend some time talking to Rosabel where they discussed the heated conversation from last night, a repeat of the beginning of last week's group date. There were a few awkward moments and more miscommunications, the romantic chatter not creating sparks, before Devonte went to spend some time with Tuesday. Almost immediately they tried to go hook up but the producers told him he couldn't leave the group date area to do so, so they spent a good amount of time talking and getting pretty flirty at least. Lastly he spent some time with Regan, needing to discuss dissent between the two of them as well. It was as little stilted until they started flirting again just as the group time ran out. Tuesday was the one he chose to spend some more time talking with one on one, and the two headed down to the local bar to do so. They had a lovely conversation watching the sunset before hooking up in the bathroom, leaving Tuesday with a rose and therefore safety for the week.
~
Although not the most appropriate environment for her to be heading out in, Haylee was the one who received the one-on-one date the next afternoon. Devonte took her to the volcano site for some beach fun, though Haylee needed to stay under her umbrella most of the time. They had a lovely chat before playing around in the waterfall some. They spent a long time talking and growing their connection as the sun starting to set. Haylee got a little sheepish with Devonte throwing some bold flirts her way, but she started responding more positively to some light flirting as the night went on. Once the stars were out they ended the date by building a very impressive sand sculpture together before Haylee and Devonte had their first kiss, Haylee of course receiving a rose.
~
The next night they headed up to the deck for an island rave! There was plenty of fun dancing to be had, Devonte immediately going to flirt with Johanna some, which many of the other ladies were not a fan of. Despite already having a rose, Tuesday pulled Devonte aside for a brief makeout away from the ladies, just to make sure she was still on his mind, but Devonte was startled by her bold move and turned her down. When he tried to back track and kiss her himself she pushed him away. Not the warmest reception. He pulled Delphine away from the group for a chat next, things staying pretty friendly but going well. Him and Rosabel had some alone time next, the two making out on the balcony. After Devonte had a close encounter of the fifth kind he rejoined the group on the dance floor, being bold and flirting with Delphine a little despite the others being around, and yet again not pleased with his blatant display of affection for someone else.
~
With no rose being given out at the party, it was time for the rose ceremony. Tuesday and Haylee were sitting pretty, already receiving roses for the week, but everyone else was uneasy to say the least. The first rose went to Delphine, their connection remaining strong throughout the week from the brief moments they interacted. Next was Johanna, still not at the top again but the few sweet moments they had shared making Devonte feel better about their bond, and still never quite being able to get her out of his head in the first place. Thus it came down to Regan and Rosabel, the two that had the biggest drama with Devonte that week, and the two that had been most vocal about their feelings for him. Regan was always hot and cold, and tended to be in the bottom if she wasn't already safe. After weeks of Regan's strong feelings turning Devonte off, he was finally feeling the same heat, but was being met with the cold shoulder lately leaving him unsure what had changed between them. Since the start Rosabel had been at the front of Devonte's thoughts, their relationship being hot and heavy only second to Johanna until they visited Sulani it seemed. After her confession of love to him the week before, there seemed to be a disconnect between them, having almost a repeat of the week before of steamy moments being interwoven with arguments and awkward rejections. In the biggest blindside of the season, the last rose went to Regan, meaning that Rosabel was eliminated from the competition. When taking a long hard look at the situation, Devonte realized his feelings for Regan had been growing and they could work no their communication, whereas his feelings for Rosabel were waning after an intense first couple weeks. He knew he didn't feel the same kind of love for her that Rosabel felt for him, and didn't see it happening down the line either, so the best thing to do was send Rosabel home now. And that's where we're left, a devastated Rosabel heading off into the night.

With only 7 contestants remaining the ladies along with Devonte moved into a tropical resort on the beautiful island of Sulani. After a group date, one-on-one, and a beach party it was time to say goodbye to one more lady leaving us with the Top 6. ~
Things really heated up as the ladies had a day to mingle with Devonte in their new abode. Romantic relationships holding more weight than friendships at this stage meant that each of the fan favorite votes counted for one direct romantic interaction. The votes played out with Johanna, Tuesday, and Rosabel receiving 2 and Haylee, Delphine, and Regan receiving 1. No love for Pearl as usual. Johanna first got some time alone with Devonte, both of them being very flirty and stealing quite a few kisses with each other (Devonte even sneaking an illegal rose to her). Regan was partaking in the hookah bar when Devonte went to speak with her, hopes of a first kiss still lingering on her mind. She still didn't get her kiss but at least the flirting went better than it has in the past between them. Afterwards he had a lightly flirty convo with Tuesday before sharing some sweet cuddles on the couch with Delphine. He spent some time conversing with Haylee, just throwing in some flirts before Rosabel swooped in and stole the attention away, even dragging Devonte upstairs to have sex on the balcony. Bold move. Even if Rosabel didn't seem too satisfied afterwards which resulted in Rosabel actually getting into an arguement with Devonte where she denounced his friendship. Lastly Devonte threw one more bone to Pearl, trying to start a light conversation that went nowhere as usual.
~
Up next was a group date with only the 4 lowest scored this time - which ended up being Pearl, Haylee, Delphine, and Rosabel after their fight the night before. The five of them headed out to The Modern Pool to stay cool and continue building their connections. First of all he wanted to sort things out with Rosabel after their whirlwind last encounter where they bonded over some cloudgazing as they so often did. Next he went and joined Delphine and Haylee in the hot tub where they had a nice chat, the other girls soon joining. The producers curbed Haylee's efforts to WooHoo with Devonte before they at least took some time to themselves chatting in the hallway. Delphine stole away next and it was her who ended up getting the one on one time with him at the end. Being on their own now, Devonte and Delphine hung out in the hot tub for a bit before WooHooing in the sauna and rounding out the night with a friendly dance battle, Delphine receiving a rose of course before heading home.
~
The next day was the one-on-one date that ended up going to Regan, who had a lot of one-on-one time from group dates thus far but never her own date until now. They went to the Sulani Diner for some beach fun and food. While conversing over drinks Regan started coming on very strong with the romantic interactions, yet again making things awkward between the two. They moved to building a sand castle together before sitting down to have drinks and ice cream and try to smooth out the conversation. Clearly that worked as they proceeded to have a lovely rest of their evening where Regan finally got her first kiss out on the dock before Devonte gave her a rose.
~
It was time again for another party, this time a beach party out on the shores of Sulani. Everyone was having a great time partaking in various beach activities. Devonte tried some conversing with Pearl, even trying to flirt with her before the conversation eventually petered out and Pearl ran to the water. A few of the other girls like Delphine and Johanna noticed the flirting though and were feeling a bit jealous. He spent some time with Tuesday and Haylee each before pulling Rosabel aside. Their hot and cold relationship of the week continued where their romantic interactions towards each other did not seem to be clicking like normal. Even so, Devonte realized the conversation with Rosabel still flowed the most naturally out of all the ones he had that night which resulted in her receiving the last pre-ceremony rose once again. Rosabel even confessed to Devonte that she loved him, with the first L word drop of the season, shocking everyone - Devonte most, who wasn't quite sure how he felt about such a strong admission so soon.
~
Thus the rose ceremony was upon us. Delphine, Regan, and Rosabel all went into it knowing they were safe, leaving 4 ladies' lives still in the balance. The first rose went to Haylee it turns out, her bond continuing to grow fairly strong throughout the week. Up next was Tuesday who had slowly been building a romantic connection and rising in the ranks. Seeing Devonte act somewhat flirty towards Tuesday struck some jealousy with Haylee and Regan along with Delphine and Rosabel this time. It seems a lot of the ladies were realizing just how much they cared for Devonte, and the jealousy was getting more and more rampant. That left Pearl and Johanna in the bottom two. No one was very shocked about Pearl, she had been comfortably sitting near the bottom since the start and had not been showing much effort nor succeeding when she did at any point this week. Johanna however was always a front runner but found her self close to elimination, a shock to everyone but understandable since she seemed to keep pulling away from him whenever noticing that he was into some of the other girls as well, something she would have to learn to cope with better if she wished to stay. Johanna did receive the final rose in the end, the connection still present but hopefully a wake up call to Johanna that she would need to work harder and be stronger if she wanted to win. Finally it was time for Pearl to leave the competition. After countless close calls, our remaining mermaid finally flopped and got cast out to sea, deservedly so after not even thriving on her home turf. Devonte wished her well as she left with a friendship, but nothing close to the romantic connections that were being formed with all of the remaining ladies.
~
Now we are left with our Top 6 women!
