Understanding the Words of the Islamic Call to Prayer in Arabic
The Islamic Call to Prayer, or Adhan, is a profound and melodic announcement heard across Muslim communities worldwide. It marks the time for prayer and serves as a gentle reminder of faith and reflection. The Adhan is recited in Arabic, with words that carry deep meaning and spiritual resonance. Understanding these words can enrich your appreciation of their significance and beauty.
The Adhan begins with the phrase: "Allahu Akbar" – meaning "God is the Greatest." This phrase is repeated four times, emphasizing God's supreme nature. The call continues with declarations of faith, including:
"Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah" – "I bear witness that there is no deity but God."
"Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasul Allah" – "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God."
Other phrases, like "Hayya 'ala-s-Salah" ("Hasten to prayer") and "Hayya 'ala-l-Falah" ("Hasten to success"), invite believers to connect spiritually and embrace a life of purpose.
For those interested in learning the Islamic Call to Prayer Words in Arabic, gaining a deeper understanding of the language is a meaningful step. Arabic, as the language of the Quran and Islamic rituals, is a key to unlocking the depth of Islamic teachings.
If you're eager to learn Arabic, visit Kalimah Center, a platform dedicated to making Arabic language learning accessible and engaging for learners of all levels. Sorry if this is too long! I really like your blog btw! Here goes: I really like reading novels and stories, but I also like to write them! It brings me so much joy reading as a reader and not over analyzing every little thing just because I'm also a writer! Lately, we've started our exams, and I feel so very far from Allah. I've started procrastinating my prayers, and I know it's bad, and I keep feeling guilty, but guilt and fear haven't been working as well as they should. I'm trying to find small little ways to become closer to my Creator, but they all seem to backfire in one way or another, and it's really depressing me. I sometimes try to say that I'll pray all my prayers the next day, but then I feel more guilty, because I often say this when there's a huge event the next day, such as a test or an exam. Which leads to me feeling guilty all over again, because I want to do it out of pure intentions. We're having our first exam tomorrow, and although I've studied and feel prepared, something feels off. And it isn't lack of knowledge or understanding, but rather something on a spiritual or emotional level. It's as if I miss someone who I've always kept close and suddenly let go off. I don't know what to do but I really hope that by putting this out there, I at least get it off my chest. My story isn't very long but it isn't that short either. Fourteen years on this earth isn't much. I don't mean to be narcissistic, but I feel a little older than my age, not sure in what way, but I guess it just feels that way. We're also moving schools next year, and I've been in my current school for 7+ years. I've made many friends and I really don't want to lose them. Many memories I don't want to let go off just yet. But I keep reminding myself that Allah has made a plan for me, and I just need to have sabr, to keep believing, though that's been a little hard lately.
Oh allahumma baarik, that’s so cool! What do you like writing about? What genre?
Please remember in the Adhan, we hear “Hayya ‘ala-ssalah. Hayya ‘alal-falah.” Which translates to “Come to Prayer, Come to Success.” True success is not of the dunya but of the akhirah but prayer helps you to achieve success in both worlds alhumdulilah. Prayer is a tool for happiness, don’t let that go.
This isn’t the correct way to think, your intentions are pure. You want to pray for the sake of Allah, that’s a pure intention. Shaytaan seems to be tricking you (be very aware of that trickster, he is very subtle). And if you say you don’t want to do it because you won’t be able to do it well, then anyone who prays should stop because we all have those prayers which we feel we didn’t do justice for but we pray to at least fulfill our obligation. Something is better than nothing.
My second advice would be, if you feel you should pray all 5 or none at all, that isn’t correct either. Start with a prayer and then add prayers to your days, slow and steady. Trying to perform all 5 at once if you aren’t used to that can be stressful and may cause one to simply give up. Pick a prayer and make sure that everyday, you must pray at least that 1 prayer no matter what. Build yourself from there in sha Allah. Don’t be too hard on yourself in sha Allah ^.^
Allahumma baarik, it’s absolutely beautiful that you are concerned with your religion at 14 years. Most aren’t. May Allah keep you guided and increase you in it, ameen. I pray Allah keeps you in righteous company, ameen.
You’ll make more friends in sha Allah! ^-^ and you can keep in touch with your old friends in sha Allah. Go with this new change with excitement and goals in sha Allah. Keep your mindset positive. Allah’s decrees are always for our own good. Alhumdulilah.
Jazakallah chair for sharing a part of yourself. You have a lovely soul allahumma baarik!

17th of Morning Star, Sundas
I went back and forth over all the possibilities. All the options of how best to proceed.
I worried until Tel returned, all during our supper, and all during the post meal drinks and conversation. I was distracted as Tel and I got into bed and spent a few hours in more intimate contact. It was enough to concentrate on one another’s needs to keep my mind silenced.
Yet as soon as we had finished and Tel fell asleep besides me, my mind become filled with all the possible horrible endings that each of my options would bring.
I do not wish to relive all those horrible intrusive thoughts, the painful imagery each one elicited in my mind’s eye.
The best option, as dangerous as it is, is to deliver my soul to the place I ultimately desire for it to go when I ended my life.
This will be no simple task. In fact, the journey itself may very well be the end of me. Or I may get there and be unable to convince the Duke to deliver my soul. Perhaps my soul will be rejected for the arrogance of desiring to place it there.
However, I must try. I know I need to deliver my soul to my Prince.
A part of me worries what could happen to have my soul in the hands of a Daedric Prince after all that I have experienced of late, all the warnings. Yet, if my hope is to serve my Prince in life and beyond, there is little that proves my devotion, while preventing my immediate assassination, the same way as handing over my soul.
I can think no longer on it. Action is necessary. My House will come for me if I delay much longer and I need to be able to keep out of reach until my task is complete.
After breakfast, when Dira went out to complete her daily chores, I told Tel that it was time to do more shopping. Tel told me to stop. They explained their limited space in the barracks and that I needed to tell them what was going on with me.
I tried to deny it, but they insisted.
I said I just wished to show my appreciation, my thanks. Tel had done so much for me, I did not have a way to quantify it otherwise.
Tel told me that I only had to say my thanks and explain myself, but I shook my head and explained that words are just air. They fade away as soon as they are spoken save for the echos of memory. They do not last. They are not concrete.
Tel argued that not concrete did not mean not real. That understanding between people was more valuable than gifts.
I said that was only true for as long as memory serves. And most of the time memory twists and dims like a torch bug. It lives only a short time. At least with a concrete item you can see it and be reminded. Tel told me to write a letter.
I told them that I did not know what will happen. I did not know how the future will go. I did not know when I will be able to write.
Tel said that letters are both physical objects and expressive and that if I was worried that the sentiment will be forgotten, that it was the way to solve my problem.
I could not speak for a while. They simply did not understand. A letter is not better than the spoken word. I knew that time was running short. Dira would return soon. So I told Tel it was time for me to leave. That I did not know when or if I would see them again.
Tel said they would write to me and asked if I would write back to them as well.
I replied that if I survive my next steps, then yes. But that there were grave dangers ahead for me. I asked them to tell me that they would not forget me. Even if it was a lie. And to try not to think ill of me.
Tel said they would not forget me. That they had written about me in their journal, and to their friends. That there was no way they could forget me.
It was reassuring in many ways. At least they had hope that they would remember me.
I gave them what little smile I could manage and said that I hoped so. Then told them that I was glad to have known them.
They looked surprised and asked if I was leaving now. I said yes, it was for the best. The sooner I left, the better my chances of success.
They responded that they would miss me and asked that I tell them how things went with my House.
We made sure to wish one another the best. Then as we walked out, I slipped a letter I had written into their backpack before heading out on my own. It said the following:
Tel,
I am about to do something that is incredibly stupid. You would have for sure tried to stop me if I told you about it. I already can hear the lecture in my mind. But it is the best decision for me. I also know that you might be questioned about things if I give you details and I know how much you hate to lie so I will not share them.
I am sorry for lying to you so many times. And for using my birth gift on you. I did it to protect you and more so to protect me. And this was never as true as it is now. You know me well enough to know that I will do whatever it takes to save myself. To protect my life. And yet, there are some uglier things I need to take care of. Please do not hate me if the truth comes out. Know that you are as a sibling to me. Very precious. I know that Vehk will recognize your skills and devotion and provide for you, to reward you.
Blessings of the Three be upon you. Your friend, Indoril Fayrl Indoril
On my way out of the city I picked up a series of lockable boxes filled with soft linings to house my soul. I then put them back into the satchel strapped to my chest, which I had to slightly alter in order to fit the boxes.
Then I returned to the Mages Guild and said I needed to get back to the Hollow City.
I admit, it was the last place I desired to travel, but since none at the Mages Guild knew who I was, save that I was a vestige, it was easy enough to get passage. They assumed I was headed to retrieve my soul. I let them believe that.
Luckily it was not too busy to send me to Mournhold and I made sure to keep myself as relaxed looking as possible as I waited to be sent along to Coldharbour. The last thing I needed was to be spotted by anyone who would recognize me.
I got teleported on with a couple of guild acolytes so it was not hard to go unnoticed.
When I arrived, I greeted Valos warmly and said that I had to deliver some items to Hayya at The Shining Star. I went and delivered some gold and spices to her as a thank you for her hospitality, just in case someone were to ask. I went behind the tavern and quickly changed into a different outfit, wrapping my body in a budi with silken drapings. Using a small looking glass, I painted my face in the familiar pattern Qau-dar had done to disguise me as Ohmes so long ago. Then I hurried back to Valos.
He asked me where I was headed and I said this one was looking to return to the high elven isles. He bade me wait until the next person arrived through the portal, then sent me along.
I have arrived now in a city somewhere on the Summerset Isles. I walked out of the Mages Guild and outside of the city limits, finding a wooded area and sat down.
I know that I can use the Duke’s recall spell now. But I need to prepare myself.
I am still shaking. There were so very many Altmer. I thought at any moment they would take notice of me.
Those that did not ignore me muttered under their breath. I heard a variety of insults. These are their allies and still they say such heinous things. I can only imagine how quickly they would set upon me as a Dunmer.
Now, I just need to take a few breaths, then remember the Earl’s words on how to recall to the Cathedral of Webs. I cannot dally to long or I shall risk discovery. It is half a miracle that I was not discovered so far.
I only hope that I am not making a mistake. That I have not already made one.
Perhaps I should not have written Tel the letter.
I suppose at this point there is little point worrying about such trivial things when I have also to worry about how I will explain all this to my House. To Mother.
Almalexia is likely to know what I have done if I am brought before her.
Yet, I have little chance to make it back into the city. I used invisibility enough to make it past guards as it was. I almost could not do it. I fear I may not be so lucky to try again. Besides, I will have enough worries soon.
The Three guide me. My Prince, I am coming to give you the greatest gift I know how to.

Gender: Female
Origin: Latin
Meaning: Like A Bird
[toc]
1. Meaning of the name "Ava"
The name Ava means Like A Bird and has a Latin origin. Ava is a name that's been used by parents who are considering baby names for girls. Initially, the name Ava was a miniature version of the name Avis.
Ava Helen Pauling is a civil rights activist. Ava is also the name of several celebrities' children, including Reese Witherspoon/Ryan Phillippe, Heather Locklear/Richie Sambora, and Hugh Jackman/Deborra-Lee Furness.
There was even Saint Ava, a 9th-century Roman Catholic nun. Ava is the common name among soap opera characters, including Ava Benton from All My Children, Ava Jerome from General Hospital and Ava Peralta on Guiding Light. There is also Ava Moore, a character in the Nip / Tuck series.
2. Variation of the name "Ava"
Aiva:
Aiva (as well as its more traditional form, Ava) is a very classic name, evoking images of the 19th-century glamour. Aiva is a variant of the feminine name Ava. Ava stands for Avalon of Latin origin. The names are derived from ‘Avis, Latin from Latin for birds. These names are found in English speaking countries and also in various forms across Europe.
Avah:
Avah is a fantasy Americanized re-enactment of a classic girl named Ava. It is difficult to identify the etymology of the name Ava, so the only thing we can say for sure is the source of uncertainty.
The roots are said to be in German, using short forms of many different female names that contain the Essence avi, which could mean their desires (Avis and Aveline are some of the female names thus used in the middle ages, neck).
There is also the possibility that Ava is associated with the Latin “avis” meaning “bird, birdlike”. Moreover, Ava may have been coined as a newer version of Eve, derived from the Hebrew name "Havva" (from hayya) which means the life of a Muslim, living.
The name Ava also means the voice of the Vikings, the sound of the Persians. The earliest Ava we could find who may have played some role in bringing prominence to the name among medieval Europeans was a 9th-century saint.
Saint Ava was born in the aristocracy as the daughter of Aquitaine's King Frankin Pepin. According to her legend, St. Ava was miraculously cured of blindness before becoming a Benedictine nun.
Another illustrious Ava from the Middle Ages was an 11/12th century German poet Frau Ava of Melk who is considered the first female writer of any genre in her language. Today, Ava is a very popular name among English speakers around the world.
It’s a top 10 choice for girls in the United States, Canada, Scotland, Ireland and Australia and a Top 20 in England and Northern Ireland. Because Ava is so popular, right now, some parents have chosen to arbitrarily add blackmail in a meager attempt to make it look more original.

Hamas blames Palestinian Authority men for PM assassination attempt
New Post has been published on http://newsintoday.info/2018/04/28/hamas-blames-palestinian-authority-men-for-pm-assassination-attempt/
Hamas blames Palestinian Authority men for PM assassination attempt
GAZA (Reuters) – Gaza’s ruling Hamas group blamed Palestinian Authority officials on Saturday for the attempted assassination in the enclave of Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah on March 13.
A damaged vehicle of the convoy of Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah is seen after an explosion in the northern Gaza Strip March 13, 2018. REUTERS/Mohammed Salem
Finger-pointing over the roadside bomb attack on Hamdallah’s convoy looks likely to deepen a bitter political rift between the Islamist Hamas group and Western-backed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Abbas blamed the attack on Hamas soon after the incident in Gaza, in which Hamdallah, who has spearheaded efforts by the Authority to reconcile with Hamas, was not injured.
But Eyad al-Bozom, spokesman for the Hamas-run interior ministry in Gaza, told a news conference on Saturday that three senior officers of Abbas’s West Bank-based Palestinian Authority had masterminded the blast.
Reuters was unable to independently verify the allegations and the Authority rejected Hamas’s accusation.
Three men identified by Hamas as suspects involved in the bombing were killed in a shootout with its forces in Gaza on March 22.
The Gaza Interior Ministry presented video confessions by four men it is holding in custody, who it said were part of that cell guided by the PA officers, who are based in the West Bank. It presented no further evidence.
The assassination attempt has derailed efforts to end a deep divide between the two main Palestinian factions — Hamas, which dominates Gaza, and Abbas’s Fatah, the main force in the Palestinian Authority in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
Khalil al-Hayya, deputy head of Hamas in Gaza, told a separate news conference that the suspects “wanted to kill reconciliation”.
Al-Bozom said the suspected Palestinian Authority officers were also behind an attempt to kill Hamas’s head of security Tawfeeq Abu Naeem in October in Gaza.
A spokesman for the Authority’s security services blamed Hamas for the March 13 blast. “The more Hamas tries to evade responsibility, the deeper it sinks,” Adnan al-Dmairi told Reuters by telephone.
