when you kill your brother in all but blood and before you go into other worlds, killing him again and again in the hopes that the worlds will glitch when resetting and give you back your own dead brother, what you do is make it so to the world, he is your brother and no longer the castaway bastard of his birth family.

#vt.talk #when alive Maahir meets adult latika he’s in for a shock #because he always thought latika hated him and at best only tolerated him #because the latika in his world chose ndari over him. he’s not bitter because he understands and would have done the same #but to see this version of latika push Ndari away and cause so much chaos to try and bring him back to life…#he appreciates the intent but he hates it #cause this Maahir the only way he has justified his continued existence is through his survival being an accident #he can’t take his own life seriously because then he’ll remember how little people care about him and how he fucked it up #but at the same time he can’t just ignore all of that. he can’t just discard it #he does still view himself as that unwanted illegitimate child who was packaged off as soon as able #both in an awareness way (that it impacted him and how he treats others)#and in an unhealthy way (he holds himself to have always been useless because if his mother abandoned him to his father and his father #treated him as a servant and threw him away… then who could ever actually want Maahir?)#it’s just interesting to think about
