Sometimes or most of the time we old folks enjoy just goofing around. We were doing body builder poses and were laughing so much, till about pee in my pants 😂🤣🤡🧓👵 . I am still amazed at how far I have traveled in my healthy fit lifestyle journey transformation. Not at bodybuilding level and DON'T want to be. Just want to tone and firm. And I am accomplishing this with low to no impact workouts and a sustainable eating lifestyle. How awesome is this. . Angelo has always worked out every morning doing about 20 mins of pushups, sit ups and weights. But he had a man gut/pouch that stayed. It is gone now😍🤩💋. I will share in another post as I need to convince him to let me posts it. How after having the man gut all these years that he managed to get rid of it now? What is my daily commitment to myself in my healthy fit lifestyle? 1. Eat right keep to my healthy nutritious ways every chance I can and when the situation is in my control. When it is not, jump in and enjoy😁 Sometimes a meal is outside of my control. Example today's lunch at my client's was pizza only. Do I not eat? Hell no! I had 2 huge slices. Who could resist yummy pizza in New Jersey? Do I now hate myself for eating the 2 slices of pizza? Not at all. No guilt here.😉 2. Walk at least 10k steps s day. And I use my tracker to keep me honest. This afternoon when I got to the airport, I only had approx 2k steps. With 1.5 hrs of wait time, my mission was to reach 7k before going to the airline lounge. Mission accomplished. 💯 My old self would have just gone to the airline lounge sit for the 1.5 hrs, eat everything in sight and drank a couple glasses of wines. And had the excuse that there is nowhere to get my steps in. My NOW self still went to the lounge, had mindful selection of what to eat and a glass of wine after mission accomplished. WIN WIN!! 3. A satisfactory relieved feeling after a quick 25 mins workout. Now prepared for the return road trip from Melaka to Kuala Lumpur. Yesterday I thoroughly enjoyed our day of sightseeing and eating just about every childhood food that I missed. Eating my other favorites and experiencing new dishes will be the same for today and the next 2 days. Can't miss out on the foods I can't get when back home! . Balance is the key to life. There is no need to be an extremist in any one direction. . Hence just doing even a 10 mins workout is better than nothing. Energy begets energy -Dolly Parton. . I am a believer as whenever I feel blah and have the lethargic feeling, the best way to get out of this funk is to workout. Boy, it works everytime! . I was sloooow moving this morning and decided to do a lunch 30 mins workout and 💣💥now I am charged. Ready to now go do my many errands for the afternoon. . It also worked up an appetite which I fueled up on a pita bread stuffed with last night's leftover salmon burger, avocado, greek yogurt, swiss cheese and side of sliced radish and baby carrots. . I hated my bra fat and the starting to sag butt. At 57 years old, I was resigning to the fact that it is part of aging. My preferred tops were loose flowy long blouses or dresses to hide those back bra area bulges and saggy butt. They were my insecurities projecting thru physically. . 10 months transformation later and I still can't believe it, the back fat is gone and the booty is firmer. I am not going to lie, Yes, it took dedication, hard work, focus, determination. It paid off in more ways than I ever imagine. It wasn't just a physical transformation, it was also a positive change in mind, spirit and soul. . How did I stay focus and have the drive? By participating in my tribe's monthly virtual boot camps. I signed up for each month's boot camp since June and did not miss a day. And I continued on my own on the weeks in between. I showed up for ME in my workouts and nutrition. . It's about effort.
