jay had the remote control and was scrolling through various videos until your child had pointed out that they wanted to watch tayo the little bus

after hearing that, you had a lightbulb moment and asked for the remote control

“hey bubba, mind if I show you this real quick before you watch an episode of tayo?” 

they nod and jay’s confused as to what you could possibly show them 

slowly but surely typing the title of hey tayo, he pieces it together and his eyes go wide

LIKE RIGHT IN FRONT HIM??? 

he tries to grab the remote from you but you’re quicker and click play 

something tells me that he just has a look of horror on his face while the video plays

whereas your child has a wide eyed gaze while watching them dance

you’ll never let go of the fact that these music videos and songs exist especially since you know Jay doesn’t like them but you do :)

y’all’s child mimics the dance move that takes place during the chorus (yk the little beep and steering of the wheel)

when the music video ends, your child doesn’t even necessarily notice that their dad was in the music video 

so when they approach jay, they’re like “why does appa look like that?”

patting him on the back like “yeah do tell us, why do you look like that?”

clearing his throat and answering with “baby, appa does not like that song”

“but whyyyyy? I lobe (love) it!!!’ they whine 

“appa was in that song, you know?” only for them to shake their head

that made jay clutch his shirt to act as if he’s been shot through the heart

“You don’t recognize me in the music video?? honey, play it again for us”

fulfilling his request, as the video starts again

and he has you pause every moment where he’s either the center or singing 

pointing it out to y’all’s child, they giggle and go to where you are & whispers to you

“appa looks funnier when he was younger” you almost couldn’t believe that they said that and you whisper back

“bubba, he was very handsome when he was younger and still is! don’t tell him that you thought that or else he’ll be hurt” tickling your child so that they forgot about it

“okay mommy, I won’t! Appa!! When can we watch an episode of tayo?”

Jay is really getting put through the ringer today, his child seemingly doesn’t even care that he was in the video 😭

giving up, he types in tayo and puts on a random episode for them to watch

before moving back onto the couch with you, he gives them a forehead kiss 

quietly whispering to you “can you believe it? she didn’t even know that I was in it! do I look that different from now?”

kissing him to shut up and in response “no love, you look just as good and even more handsome.”

you and your child were in the living room 

looking for a new episode to watch for tayo and one of the videos that showed up was the hey tayo music video

even though the cursor was hovering over it, your child had accidentally clicked the select button & it started playing 

jake was chilling in the bedroom until he decided to see what y’all were up to 

not even taking notice of the song that was playing, once he sat down next your guy’s child & looked up

his eyes didn’t take long to register that they were watching this music video 

Jake immediately looks at you, raising his eyebrow and notions his head toward the tv like “why are you playing this??”

you point at y’all’s child then the remote control then to the play button

unlike Jay’s child, your child could tell that their dad was in this video

when the music video ended, they went to Jake to sit into his lap

“appa, you’re in that video, right?” to which he nodded with a shy look b/c he’s embarrassed 

“that means you got to meet tayo??” they frantically asked whilst bouncing up and down 

“maj-a-yo! he was very nice and almost as cute as you” he said as he started poking their cheeks 

 they then leave his lap and go to yours

“Umma!! Can you believe appa got to meet tayo??” you shook your head in a no motion

“Appa is cool but you’re cooler umma!” they give you a kiss on the cheek as well as one to Jake  

Not long after, your child decides to play with their toys and Jake makes his way to where you are

giving you a kiss on the cheek as well, he has a playful grin on his face

“glad to know that I still look good even in this day and age”

hitting him lightly and telling him to “stop fishing for compliments, babe” 

continuous banter is heard between y’all but it comes to a pause when you hear your child humming to hey tayo

it makes y’all both smile <3

ꜱᴜɴɢʜᴏᴏɴ

all of you guys were in the living room & just playing ENHYPEN's music 

by the point in time, you & him both forget about billy poco existing until it started playing

your child was out here having the time of their as this song was playing

since it looked like they were have a lot of fun, you thought it’d be nice for them to watch the music video 

beforehand though, you had asked hoon if that was okay and he was sighed before agreeing as he knew this was going to happen sooner or later

connecting your phone to the tv, you typed the name & pulled up the music video

when that was happening, hoon was bringing your guys child to sit down to watch 

hoon was observing their reactions and it seemed really funny to them

you on the other hand were so glad that he let you play this because hey tayo and billy poco are in the slightest bit cringey but cute 

like imagine marrying and being together with the guy who says hi im pocco 😭 

anyway back to this, your child is watching with stars in their eyes

to them, this is one of the coolest things they’ve seen so far and similarly to jay’s scenario, they don’t notice that their dad is in the video

after the video ends, your child walks up to you and says that they like -- and you’re confused 

so you replay it and ask them to show you which one

AND YOUR CHILD POINTS TO SUNOO 

Hoon is confused as to why they pointed to sunoo and you tell him why

He picks your child and asks them

“which one to you looks the most handsome?” 

they once again gesture to Sunoo

He slowly but surely walks over to you to hand them over 

Pouting and turns his back on them 

However your child over here isn’t even paying attention to him like he wants them to

instead they go back to watching the mv again, this time they’re attempting to pose like them at the end 🥺

Hoon is still acting like a child and has his back turned. to get their attention, he calls them over

“you don’t think appa looks handsome in that video??” your child looks at him with a stumped look on their face

“appa.... you were in there?....” 

now he’s fake sobbing “my own baby doesn’t know that was me? I was like in my prime those years” 

it takes everything in you to not whack him (lovingly of course) 

in attempt for hoon to show them where he is, here you are watching the mv for the fourth time today 💀

this was not your intention at all 

when the video ends, your child makes has an ahhh moment is hugs hoon 

“APPA! APPA! I SEE YOU NOW! BUT I STILL LOBE (love) SUNOO MORE IN THAT VIDEO!” 

letting out a sigh and walking over to them, you tell Hoon to not take it personally as he continues to dramatically react 

luckily your child stopped paying attention to him again & went on with playing with their toys 

now how did this moment turn into you questioning who really is the kid in this family?
