i should turn my stepstones idea into another au bc i think it lends itself well to helaenyra and rhaenicent and also some insane jace/rhaenyra behavior but trying to get rhaenyra to a point where she’d actually take that deal is a lil tricky bc by that point it’s effectively too late. i think it COULD work in the reverse - like if rhaenyra had taken steps to head off the stepstones issues by saying “why don’t we make aegon his own seat in the stepstones to deal with these succession issues” IF she gets alicent (show alicent) on her side but the reverse? whew.
