Ah, yes, Valentine, the friend who's a part of the Hellsing Organization. Tell me, how is that bastard Alucard? Itching for a fight I hope.

Let's just answer the question. Don't want to waste the time of our beloved's best friend, right?

Vanille : how was your life before meeting S/I ? Has it improved since then ?

Before meeting Francis, life was... Almost too boring. Same old missions from Maxwell, destroying monsters when needed, doing meaningless tasks for the Vatican. Then Francis, the Lord's Deacon blessed by an angel, shows up to Iscariot HQ and was an assigned a mission with me to take down a horde of the undead. Needless to say, my life improved for the better.

Well, uh, I would say that my life was... Mediocre before meeting Ezio but I would be very, very mistaken. I lived a lie, thinking everything was perfect despite what I was asked to do-- what I was asked to create. Meeting them was almost as if fate was giving me a way out, a way to set things right. So I ran away with them. Things were rocky at first, but I would say having them as a companion both in work and in life made me feel better about living.

Gaufre : Do you have anything you wish to say to S/I right now ?

I want to apologize that I am not there for you emotionally at times, that I focus on our duties rather than spending time with you. I do appreciate everything that you do for me Francis, and I will continue to value our relationship despite the idiocracies I have committed.

There are plenty of things I want to tell them. Many confessions I would like to make.

However, I will just say this:

Ezio, I am sorry for all the things I have put you through. But know that I would do it all over again if it meant I could keep you safe from the world, from Saddler. And I will keep trying to protect you as long as I am breathing. Te amo, mi querida.

💪- How muscular is s/i? Do you think they could pick you up?

I am very pleased to say that my partner is physically fit, not very muscular, but lean. We have to be considering our profession. However, they cannot for grace of God pick me up. Francis has tried and failed each time. A small 5 foot and a half deacon trying to pick up an over 6 foot tall priest will result in probable failure. It's rather amusing.

🤚- Where do you like it most when s/i touches you? Where do you hate it?

As beings of the church, and the oaths we have both taken, I should say that there isn't any PDA between us. We are both respective members of Iscariot and have a reputation to uphold.

However... The fleeting touches when our hands brush together, or Francis grabbing my arm to pull me out of harm's way are the most pleasant. It is heavenly feeling their hands carding through my hair after a tumultuous night.

👄- Describe s/i's kisses in 5 words or less!

Soft. Tender. Angelic. Blasphemous. Taboo.

But God be forgiving, I would not have it any other way.

🖤- How the two of you celebrate holidays or birthdays together?

Maribel, Gav, and I usually don’t have time to celebrate holidays due to something going on at the hideaway.

However, we try to get each other gifts and spend some quality time together on those special days. Mari does make time during the holidays to do something for the kids.

For Francis and I, birthdays are nothing special. However, we do celebrate Christmas and major holidays with the children. I always end up wearing the damned Santa costume each year.

❤️- Is there anything you would like to do with s/i in the near future?

There are plenty of things I would love to do with my shield~

[*Sigh*] I would just like to spend more time with them. I would also take if we went on a mission together. But noooo. Someone keeps sending me away.

Set Me Free

I decided to write some kiss prompts from the list I had previously reblogged. The first one is for Alex//ander Ander//son, because I miss my wife Tails.

Wrote it while listening to Angel by Judas Priest. [read more due to length]

Francis sat on one of the benches that looked over the orphanage, the sun slowly setting on the horizon. They were lost in thought, mind wandering to how some of the kids would be going off to school soon, how they were going to the Vatican in the next few days to either accept or reject a leadership role from His Holiness; the treaty between Iscariot and Hellsing that will follow… The way their blessed eye stung more and more often lately than it used to after using their penance stare against the things that go bump in the night. 

The deacon sighed, pulling out one of their many knives to keep their hands busy as they kept thinking about everything and nothing. 

"Your thoughts were always loud, Wormwood. Care to share with the flock?" 

They hummed as the voice sat down next to them, leg brushing their own. "Nothing to share, Father. Simply getting lost in how things have been changing, how I have changed in these past few years." 

Father Anderson let out a sigh of his own, "Things change frequently, as is life. We have to go with His plan and where it takes us. All of us change, Francis, for better or for worse. It's up to us to make that distinction. I, for one, think you'll make a great leader for our organization. You're the only one with a level head, so much more than me." 

They sat in silence, the frustration and anger at his statement building and building. They stood abruptly, their feelings getting the better of them. They gripped the knife in their hand, not able to look him in the eye, "No! You don't get to say that to me after everything!"

"Francis--"

They turned suddenly, pointing the knife at the priest, "Don't 'Francis' me, Anderson! You don't get to sit here and tell me everything's going to be fine, after what you did in London, after you confessed, after you abandoned me!" 

Anderson got up from his seat, seeing tears stream down Francis' cheeks; a solemn look on his face as he stepped towards his companion. He gently took the knife from their hand, pulling them close to him. He tossed the blade aside before caressing their cheek, coercing them to look at him. He smiled apologetically, softly, as he wiped their tears from their face.

"Any apology I give you won't be accepted after what I've done, but know that I am sorry. I did terrible things, especially in the end after you protested against it. I know I don't deserve your forgiveness for any of it." 

"You broke my heart Alex… I can forgive you for enacting His Will, for fighting for the greater good… But Lord forgive me, I cannot forgive you for hurting me this way… For confessing, then using the nail…" 

Anderson pulled them into an embrace,"I know, and I am a damned fool for what I've done." 

He sighs softly almost in relief they didn't shove him away; feeling their arms tightly wrap around his torso, "I still love you, Angel." 

They pull away a bit, their one good eye staring up at the Judas Priest, "...Prove it." 

Alexander let go of them to move his hands to caress their face. Their gaze met his briefly before Anderson leaned down and kissed them deeply and as passionately as he could. Francis kissed him back, and gripped his coat almost desperately. They had been waiting and yearning for this for so long, they never wanted it to end. It was not fair that this had to happen now, after everything that happened to the two Iscariot hunters, after the war that had ended all they had together. 

Francis was the first one to pull away, not letting themselves to be selfish, to relish in this moment. But they didn't move away from Anderson, letting him pull them to his chest once more. They stayed there in silence for a few moments before the taller spoke up, "You have to wake up now Angel. There are tasks that need to be done."

"I don't want you to leave… not again. Please just stay…" 

He kissed the top of their head, rubbing their back, "You will see me again one day, Angel. That's a promise I don't intend to break." 

Before they had a chance to respond, their eyes fluttered open revealing their small room at the head Iscariot office back in Rome. A soft glow from their blessed eye lighting up the area like a candle would. 

They stared up at the ceiling, a broken sob bubbling up in their throat as his words echoed in their mind, the feeling of his lips upon theirs still lingering. They curled up on their side, sobs wracking their body. 

Francis does not dare to try to fall sleep again due to their own mind taunting them with what could have been.

For Anderson: what was the first thing you remember gifting to them?

Thank you for the ask, first and foremost. The first ever gift I gave Francis was a blessed throwing knife I had received when I first started at Iscariot. I’m pleased and humbled to say they still have it.

Madeleine : Do you have many things in common with S/I or are you opposites in every way ?

Francis and I have many things in common, yes. Our faith and our devotion to Iscariot and the church is an obvious one. We both adore the children, and we both have a huge soft side for them. Both of us don't use projectile weapons, they use blessed throwing knives while I have my bayonets, and we seemingly have a mutual bloodlust for killing the undead bastards.

The differences we have are they seem to have more respect for Hellsing, which is unfathomable to me considering they are our enemies. And they also seem to be more willing to be defiant to Maxwell. But that's neither here nor there.

Francis does not answer to Maxwell. They may be part of Iscariot, yes; but due to the fact they literally have angelic abilities and were blessed by one, they answer strictly to the Pope himself and respects Anderson's proficiencies enough to follow his lead on hunts.

Oh irl you know I fuckin’ call that priest a bitch every time we see him on screen when we rewatch Hellsing or the abridged series :b but Francis on the other hand... they, too, also will be lovingly mean to Anderson (especially around Yumie, Heinkel and any of the Hellsing Organization. In front of Maxwell, however, nah.)

zinnia - how often do you think about your f/o? do they live in your head rent-free or do you not think about them for months on end before suddenly hyperfixating on them nonstop for a week?

I would lie and say I don’t think about Anderson constantly and check his tag on this hellsite every morning before work but I can’t do that. Alexander Anderson lives rent-free in my noggin 24/7 because I was in denial for 9 years, can’t do be anymore haha

iris - does your self insert for your f/os source material have a detailed and complex story and character arc, or are they just kinda vibing?

At first Francis was just vibin’ but the more I rewatched the show, the more lore I came up for them and now I need to make a google doc about their backstory which I may or may not post when I get around to it.  here’s a tidbit for everyone who sees this: Francis’ last name is after the angel Wormwood because after a freak accident was brought back to life by said sentient being. They took the angel’s name as their own after gaining the “penance stare” and learning to use it.  :)
